BPF
Reports coming in that Zola has been fired. I wonder who the porn baron has lined up as his replacement. Where does Mr Zola go from here?

Ozz
I'd like to think the Labour Exchange, but realistically he'll be going home to have another bath in pound coins.

Bobby G
Sacked when he was going to resign anyway. Good situation for the Italian. Personally I dont think he did a good job there.

unluckymorton
Reports coming in that Zola has been fired. I wonder who the porn baron has lined up as his replacement. Where does Mr Zola go from here? As much as I like Zola I don't think he did a good job in any way for West Ham. It's in his favour that he was sacked rather than walking out. The main problem for him was in January when the porn kings took over they went mad and signed 5 players behind Zola's back, including the super fit Benni Mac and Mido. Zola will not struggle for work, he'll go coaching in Italy for a while then go back to management. I think Mark Hughes would be crazy to go to West Ham though, especially with those two muppets running the show. Saying that, Hughes hasn't got the best relationship with Gold & Sullivan after the Savage deal. I'd say either Steve McClaren, Avram Grant or Slaven Bilic will take over. Grant is a good call though, his style would suite them, IMO a good manager.

unluckymorton
McClaren gone to Wolfsburg. Grant is a good call though, his style would suite them, IMO a good manager. Grant would be the best appointment for West Ham IMO. It would not be too good for the rest of the clubs in the middle to lower 3rd of the table though providing Grant was left to go about his business his own way and not be told who to sign by the porn kings. Another downside to Grant being appointed is the current bond he may have with players like Dindane, O'Hara, James and the like and being able to tempt them to Upton Park with him. At least our two slimey barstewards are rich It's one thing being rich and another letting the manager look after all things football at your club... They won't be rich for long if they think signing Big Mac on a 2yr deal for £2m is good business!
Hughesy
At least our two slimey barstewards are rich Worst of luck to them Hope they fail with their new 'BIG' club.....Money doesnt answer anything, just ask any of those teams such as Liverpool, City, Villa etc who all regulary fail with thier ultimate goal 'The Premier League' or 'Champions League' - Unlike us, we managed it! Jack had his dream...Jack delivered his dream. ONLY 1 JACK WALKER!!

If you look at their record at Brum they didn't get through a lot of managers and I think they only sacked one. I am sure you will correct me if I am wrong. Zola was never their choice and he was under performing and over paid. Once they appoint a manager I think they will go back into the background and let the manager get on with running the club. Sullivan wanted rid of Zola from day 1, they were not allowed to sack him til the close season per their agreement with the Icelandic mob.

mickbrown
I reckon Zola should try his hand in the Championship at mid-table team who are outsiders for the play-offs. Think he would do well in that situation. On what grounds ? He was the most tactically naive manager we have ever had at West Ham and we have had some poor managers......He made Roeder look like Mourinho..... Billy Castell
I wish West Ham the worst of luck and I hope they get someone like Paul Ince. I just can't stand those pillocks who own them. They always slag off players and managers in public and have 0% respect for professionalism.
bob fleming
I hope they get someone like Paul Ince. Paul Ince?! Good shout! Up and coming manager, ex England player, bags of experience, someone should take a chance on him. Ex West Ham player as well of course. Crowd favourite I'd wager. What do you reckon mickbrown?! Majiball
Has Steve Clarke gone as well? My instant thought as well. Sam has said we need to expand the back-room team again recently and he's a bloody good coach, I'd have him here in a heartbeat.

Macdonald is a defence minded coach, surely what Rovers need is a more midfield/attack minded coach to balance it out.
