SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Decent atmosphere, the standard has been set for this season.
Mattyblue Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 It was BBE v DE as the Scousers were their usual silent selves.
Ben-2000 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 They are the only set of fans that all sit down for 90mins... for that reason i'd give them the whole Darwen End instead of their scouce neighbours.
Hughesy Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 scouce neighbours. Who? Na still the same gobby sh!tes outside.
Ben-2000 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Who? Na still the same gobby sh!tes outside. Instead of Liverpoo who insist on standing for 90mins despite the tannoy announcements etc... just like the Mancs thinking they own the place
Hughesy Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Instead of Liverpoo who insist on standing for 90mins despite the tannoy announcements etc... just like the Mancs thinking they own the place They can do what they want, aslong as they dont win at Fortress Ewood!
cletus Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Great banter yesterday in the DE Everton fans were their usual shockingly quiet selves, considering the numbers they bring. Can anybody shed some light on what seemed like a spot of bother down the front near the end of the game? The police & stewards were restraining a big guy in a yellow top. Couldn`t tell if he was Rovers or bin-dipper from where we were. Best chant of the day came from the BBE (yes, we actually heard them for once ) just after our goal..."One nil & your shirts are ####" Also enjoyed the "Englands number 1" chant for Robbo. He turned to the DE, shook his head, pointed to the Rovers badge & then to the number 1 on his back.....so everyone started singing "Rovers number 1". Robbo gave us the BIG thumbs up Robbo loves the Darwen End!

Robbo gave us the BIG thumbs up Robbo loves the Darwen End! I didn't hear that song once, the best chant had to be Giiiiiiiiiiivet, wherever you may be. Ye Robbo loves the Darwen End, Nelsen acknowledged us after the game, so did most of the players, the Darwen End is the place to be
Mattyblue Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I didn't hear that song once, the best chant had to be Giiiiiiiiiiivet, wherever you may be. You didn't hear the 'shirts are s*** chant?! Think that proves that both ends struggle to hear each other.
Backroom Tom Posted August 15, 2010 Backroom Posted August 15, 2010 Yep I'd say the 'One nil and your shirts are sh*t' were nearly as loud as anything on the day. Apparently started by our very own Abbey. Good work after his 'Terry's got a hardon' chant last year. Got to say the rousing, 'One Jack walker' had my hairs on end
American Rover12 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 The one jack walker chant near FT came over loud and clear over tv stream. it was excellent.
AggyBlue Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 the Darwen End is the place to be I actually heard you lot for once, can't understand why you were singing for Emerton though
RIML Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I actually heard you lot for once, can't understand why you were singing for Emerton though The Everton fans were quiet, they sung that 'Everton' song and 'nobody better than Mikel Arteta' in the first few minutes that was about it. I don't know why I didn't hear that one nil song must have been singing something else.
Majiball Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I actually heard you lot for once, can't understand why you were singing for Emerton though To be fair they do see everything backwards over there.

dj54nna Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Anyway, JW Upper is better. Like party animals. Once they've been long dead and stuffed I've sat up there a few times, the silence was deafening. No singing at all. Once, after a dreadful midfield pass, through abject frustration I shouted, "Jesus Christ!". The snotty woman in front turned round and proclaimed, "Oh, I didn't know HE was playing," then got her thermos out. Miserable moo. Just thought I'd put a good word in for those of us sat in the Riverside near the Darwen End. Plenty of signing and a good atmosphere. We were definitely belting out the "1-0 and your shirts..." chant after the goal. The Shed is still a pretty good place to be, provided you're at least 10 rows back. Well done all round I'd say. Shame the JW is so sparse still.
roversmum Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 He was playing, actually. The players call Givet 'Jesus'.
Ozz Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Well the game yesterday was the quietest it's been in the Darwen End since the unreserved seating policy started. In fact the whole ground was a lot quieter than of late.
Mattyblue Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Early ko perhaps? BBE chant to Fabregas had him and everyone else chuckling though.
Ossydave Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 The Darwen end teeny boppers hadn't drank as much shandy as usual due to the early KO, therefore were less boisterous
brfcmad1979 Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I loved the song about Arsene Wenger, his bag of sweets and cheeky smile!
levi Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Early ko perhaps? BBE chant to Fabregas had him and everyone else chuckling though. what was the chant to fabregas?
