Any doubts that he had "lost interest" should be firmly put to bed with those comments. An explanation is neededd badly.

We NEED a chairman. A wheel is structuraly weakened without the hub, damn near useless - Mr. Williams most certainly was that hub.

I don't want to become thenoesque but, I knew what would happen as soon as he was forced out. It is all the more terrible for the inability to do anything. Its like being ordered into a very badly concieved attack, one has to do it - even take part and help it fail.

At a guess, I bet, when you're pasting the address into the box, you're leaving two HTTP's in. Get rid of one of them. If it's not that, where do you get up to?

The photos, ten of them, match up with the http list. I clicked on No7 which showed me a page with the photo I'd chosen. I then copied the title of the page.

Then I went into my profile as per instructions and pasted into the box. I then had to delete one of the http// things.

Saved.

Boomboom......got my new avatar.

But apart from that, & I hope you're reading this Mr Williams, thank you for being a great Chairman for the past umpteen years. I'm sure that many football supporters have winced over the years about the proclamations of their Chairpersons (ha!)of their clubs (Wigan, West Ham, Chelsea, Leeds, agent Kilby down the road, all spring to mind.) You kept your mouth closed & your mind open and did what was best for Rovers. For which we all thank you.

I right click on copy then can't get it to paste. I'm useless at this sort of thing. Even lost my old avatar. Stuff it, I'm too old for this sort of thing.

I have same problem Al. I followed all the instructions to the letter, but all it achieved was getting rid of my old avatar and not replacing it with my choice (also No. 2).

Go to the 'My Setting' page again, and again click on the 'Profile' tab, then 'Change Avatar'. Click the 'Remove My Avatar' link if available then...

delete the 'http://' that is automatically populated in the 'Your Image Avatars' text box, then with a blank box paste this link...

Then click the 'Save Changes' button, it should the appear when it reloads. Don't worry, I've had it not work before but when I do it again it does..

To set it as your avatar

Click on the drop down arrow next to your username in the top right hand corner, and select "My Settings".

Click on the "Profile" tab on the 'Your Options' screen and then select the 'Change Avatar' option from beneath.

Copy and paste your favourite image link below into the "Your image avatars" text box then finally click the 'Save Changes' button.

btw rather than messing about can these not simply be added to the avatar list? I don't particularly want to dispense with "mohammed" but under the circumstances I suppose that I could make an excepetion.
