[Archived] Travelling To Wolves - Last Game

Recommended Posts

Just got my tickets for the Wolves match but I have not sorted transport down to the match.

Can people post in here (along with any contact details) of any coaches running down on the day and how much etc?

Thanks guys. I think this thread might be a good hook up for people like me after sorting means of getting there and back

Also can one of the mods pin this thread so it doesnt get missed?

If there is enough interest id be happy to arrange a coach from somewhere like the Golden Cup?

Thats handy for me as I live on Oakdale!!! Lets see how many post on here. It would be good to have an official BRFCS coach travelling down

Train is cheap enough if you book now.

I've just posted this

For anyone like me who no longer lives locally, who is going to the match by train, and who doesn't know Wolverhampton that well, this might prove helpful.

on the other Wolves thread.

My dad is being a let down so it looks as though I'll be making this trip on my own, I imagine I'll be using the official transport to make it easier on myself even though it's almost more than the ticket itself

You should book on one of the coaches. I think Im going to book on the Fort Arms one if there is space with my mates

Train for us even though it is expensive, can't beat a ###### up on train.

Normally would agree 100% ... but there's only a handful of trains back to the North West after the game, they're always busy anyway on a Sunday evening, and there will be 2,500 Liverpool fans coming back from Villa who will be able to pile on before us at Birmingham New Street ....

So I think travelling back from Wolverhampton by train next Sunday could be a nightmare.

Surprised by the number of people asking for directions. Basically drive to Wolverhampton get on the A449 ring road and you can't miss it. Haven't been for a while but from what I recall parking is tricky.

I would suggest approaching Wolverhampton on the A449 Stafford Road, means leaving the M6 quite early, as this probably gives the best parking options. From other directions I can't think of many spots to park.

Not sure on what travel to avail of. Trains, official travel, or other coach.

Probably about 12 or so, mixture of Norwegians, Northern Irish, Blackburnians!!

There is 6 of us so far so we could get together and get a mini bus / coach if needed?

Wouldn't get the train mate, disgraceful rip off. Just like it always is if you're on one that doesn't look it was built in the 1960s and are travelling more than 10 miles. £40 return from Blackburn to Wolverhampton last time I checked. I'd get a minibus, probably have to ring round a few places though for a decent price.
