Just heard about this on the radio.

A shoplifter in Augusta, fleeing from the store ran into some Marines collecting for Charity. He stabbed one of the Marines(who is reported to be recovering well in hospital), was "subdued" by the rest until the police arrived.

Now the funny bit. The article above does not mention this but the following is being reported in Assocated Press....

After Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene Cpl. Duggan was transported for treatment. The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw...injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine.

I'm sure that I'm not alone in thinking that if a few Para's had done that in this country that it would be viewed that 'reasonable force' was exceeded and that it was therefore a racially motivated attack. They'd be on a charge and the robber would be financially compensated.

Really? Do you honestly think anyone would give a toss if some scumbag shoplifter knifed a para out collecting for charity and promptly had his pan kicked in? I doubt it.
