Getting into a lot of Ingmar Bergman lately, watched Wild Strawberries and Fanny and Alexander years ago and was going to get more into him but kinda forgot. Rewatched them and the Seventh Seal, The Magic Flute and Through a Glass Darkly and glad I watched them when I have a bit more appreciation for film instead of just car chases, blood and guts. Absolutely brilliant cinema.

Watched Transofmers 2, a real let down.I enjoyed the first, The second is more or less the exact same as the first.

Also watched the Hangover, really really enjoyed it.

And while i'm here i got my hands on the directors cut of Watchmen, An extra half hour of footage...Loved it!

Transformers 2 gave me a headache.

Anyone seen and have any views on Gomorrah?

Yep, great flick

It is European mafia, not American mafia if that makes any sense? The whole style of the movie is similar to what you would get from French or Italian cinema without any comedy.

Went to see "Moon" last week by Duncan Jones (aka Zowie Bowie), was okay but expected a bit more after the rave reviews it got.

Sam Rockwell was very accomplished as always, the story just didn't really throw up any surprises, you knew what was going to happen quite easily.

Worth watching, just don't expect too much.

I've just seen Star Trek.

Pretty good! They could have made a real mess of it, but they didn't.

Dunno about that, I used to watch the old ones when my boy was growing up  they wiped out one of the key civilisations and made the whole of all the previous star treks null and void in one fail swop, Hollywood ruins things these days.

Watched Transofmers 2, a real let down.I enjoyed the first, The second is more or less the exact same as the first.

Also watched the Hangover, really really enjoyed it.

Transformers another ruinement, couldn't even get the Constructicons right or pretty much anything else, jetfire's wrong, plenty is my son watched it he was mad on them as a boy and came round saying what a dissappointment as they'd twisted it all and changed things too much. They should have stuck to the original they would have gotten more fans.

Anyone seen GI Joe yet?

Any film with Sienna Miller in tight black clothing cant be too bad!

Also want to see Bruno

Its all action from start to finish so watchable with a couple of beers can't comment on the effects too much but even the blurry parts looked good.

Whats Clubbed about haven't seen that one??

Well I've been through a bit of a movie marathon lately, some older, some new, here's what I thought of them.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno - Actually pretty good if you look past all the dick jokes etc, actually has a decent storyline for a comedy and is pretty original again for a modern comedy. Expected it to be terrible which probably helped. 6/10

Never Back Down - Again expected it to be crap, it's actually not bad. It will probably remind you of Fast and The Furious only replace the cars with fighting. Still it's not bad though and it's done in a way that it doesn't go completley over the top. I'm not sue if you'd be too in to it though unless you're interested in MMA. 6/10

Death Sentence - Wow this film is fantastic, to pick holes in at least. Anything with Kevin Bacon in is usually good and this is borderline okay, largely because it's a fairly cool revenge film, just with a lot of plot holes which you'll enjoy taking the ###### out of later. 4/10

Iron Man - Just hadn't got around to seeing it yet, for anyone else in that position, go and see it, it's almost good as any of the comic book films, perhaps only second to TDK. 8/10

Transformers- Again just a fim I hadn't got around to seeing, really enjoyed it, a lot better than I expected, some decent acting in it and the fight scenes are pretty awesome. Plus it has Megan Fox being hot in it. 6/10

The Hangover - This film is hilarious, anyone who's been drunk out of their mind before and woken up with a raging hangover not being able to remember half of the night can relate to this one. It really is as good as people have made out. Probably the best comedy film I've seen, period. 8/10

Hitman - Not bad at all, nothing amazing but some decent action scenes and a decent storyline, I've played the games a bit, not sure how closely they followed it in the film if that bothers anyone. Worth a watch if you want to see a decent action film without having to think about what's going on. An easy watching film. 6/10

Terminator Salvation - I'm a little undecided about this one, I enjoyed it and I think anyone who likes Terminator will enjoy it but I am getting a little confused just what in the hell is going on at times when I try and work out all the time travelling over the various movies and what they've stopped/created/killed/haven't killed etc. Worth a watch though, hopeing they can step it up for the next installment. 6/10

The Last House on The Left - Talking about the modern version, loved it, a sick brutal horror film, none of those scary monsters or vampires as it's not a supernatural horror, just a plain brutal gory gruesome horror. Fans of horror and thriller films could well enjoy this one, if you don't like lots of gore and violence or awkward scenes then this might not be for you. 7/10

Watched plenty more but that's the ones I can think of off hand, don't really remember the really terrible ones.

Been to see Tarantino`s latest film Inglourious Basterds today. What an absolute cracker! Definitely back on form and back to doing what he does best.At 2 1/2 hours it is a long film but for my money i wasn`t too bothered because you knew what it was building up to,so you weren`t clockwatching as such.

Christolph Waltz is absolutely spellbinding and is surely worth an oscar nomination? Brad Pitt too is brilliant as always (his italian accent is hilarious!) alongside a good solid cast.Sure historical facts have been altered to suit the film but that is totally irrelevent.I was sat there for the entire length of the film with a big smile on my face and just enjoyed every second of it.Without a shadow of a doubt my film of the year so far...10/10 for me.

Never Back Down - Exactly the same alright but won't watch again.

Terminator - I alway wanted to see the future with all these terminators and machines and so on. So it was good to see that but no Arnie, I would have thought California needed the money.

Went to see Inglorious Basterds tonight. Strange, strange film. Really enjoyed it but not sure what, if anything, I was expected to take from it. Some very, very dark and funny moments, yet nobody laughed. Some superb characterisation and a plot line that borders on farce at points. Go see it, a great 2.5 hours.

Went to see it last weekend. Its brilliant, but nothing like what I was expecting. In contrast to Paul at my screening everyone was laughing out loud, but many times I found myself laughing when other didn't, just at little bits all through the film.

Totally inaccurate and bizarre, but don't let that interfere with anything. Entertainment.

Worth the money alone for the Italian accents (3rd best at Italian :D ).

Absolutely agree. Don't want to spoil this for people so i'll just say I know what I was expecting and it was utterly different.
