Ok guys set this up as many fans are worried that should be sack Kean we will replace him with another puppet like Jensen or someone with a lack of experience - so lets make it clear who the fans want. Note iv only added the obvious links which would come up if it was vacant.

VENKYS if you decide to sack/ replace or demote Kean then dont employ another coach/ assistant - go for experience please.

You can still win the fans over, employ good people who know how to run football clubs, employ a good manager and sign some quality players that cost decent money so we can 'judge you after 1 year'.

I voted for OTHER as I don't care who comes in at the moment as they are unlikely to be worse than Kean. In fact, even if they are as bad as Kean, at least they will be a novelty for a while.

I would love Kean to turn this around but it isn't going to happen. Sooner, or later, he will be sacked this season.

If we want to be serious then Ancelotti would be my shout. Experienced, available and a fantastic manager. I don't know if he'd be willing to take us on as a project, but I don't think it's that unrealistic.

Despite what people are saying, we have the framework for a great team, especially if Samba stays. I feel a great manager can make the most of this team and really get it to perform. There's some exciting players here for a manager to work with.

It's going to be a very tight season though.

I have also voted other because priority has to be to get rid of Kean

Regardless who the Manager is it will not effect incomings this window, It will just mean that the new guy will inherit a squad, but he has the next window to wheel n deal should he require to tweek it,

The biggest issue to me, Is if Venky's do have the bottle to remove Kean (Removal could hang everyone) then it will cost them Millions, This money would need to be found, does it come out of their pocket? what will it do in the long term?

Kean will find himself virtually unemployable due to reasons I won't reveal just yet, This will add £'s to the settlement,

A new manager would more than likely be brought in from outside the british game, as behind the scenes activity at Rovers has given us Employee leprocy.

His salary would need to be taken into consideration as a like for like replacement would just not be welcomed, We need an experienced Manager with a proven track record, who is Media friendly and has a proven track record of attracting good players. Therefore he would not be cheap, (Do venkys want to invest into something they don't really want)

Anybody getting into bed with Blackburn Rovers now will have to be confident that things can be moved from the ridiculas back to reality very quickly, Rovers is not a toy you can pick up and put down when you feel like it. The owners need to realise this, Their naivity thinking a quick buck could be made whilst they raised their other business interest is shocking. If you make the biggest single business purchase of your life, its always a good idea to give it your maiximum attention, not depend on others to run it for you especially when the other individuals have different motives.

Yes they had promises given to them which over a period of time has not flourished, but to cry aboiut it, is just the pot calling the kettle black,

They made promises to us, and they may have been scripted by someone else but they came out of their mouths, and they failed to keep any of them.

Things have changed a little over the last couple of weeks because reality has hit home they own a football club, and its an expensive animal to feed when your exit strategy takes a turn for the worse.

Do they have the money to repair the damage and sustain the club alone? Its questionable as their turnover to profit ratio is very very low, and with no idea's of running a football team there is no room for trial and error.

This is now their £40 Million pound problem and a problem they must face head on,

"If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is" perhaps they don't understand the concept of that statement?

As supporters our saving grace is Mrs D, she was lead down the garden path by others including those closest to her, She is squeeky clean and can raise this club from the brink if she can get her shop in order, providing cash if it is readily available from personal wealth

We need to rid this club of all the bad pennys, and once they have gone repair the damage. There is little point in moving just one individual out and replacing him if dark forces are still lurking in the background.

There has been a massive cull since the takeover of good people, we now need another cull, but one which rids this mighty football team of those who are doing it more harm than good

I voted for o'neil. Yes I think the important thing is getting rid of Kean but venkys must understand the importance of their next decision after that.

I went for o'neil because he is out of work, so may be more willing to come here, even if it's only a short term deal. He has a reputation as a good motivator and I think our playing staff suit the style of play he had at villa, with pacey wingers etc etc. He also appears to have his teams well organised which we are desperately lacking.

To be honest though, I'd love Hughes or moyes, but I don't think moyes would come, he's looking for his big move next and would likely consider us a backward step. Hughes knows the club ad a lot of he players so would settle quickly.

I can not see Kean being on simular wages to somebody like Sam. Venkys after all try to do things on the cheap. So his compo should not be anywhere near what Sam had. Though with Kentario being Keans agent you never know - be interesting to see what they negotiated for their client.

I also voted for O'Neil. I would like Hughes, but cannot see him coming, especaily if he talks to John Williams etc first. But O'neil is out of a job and therefore there would be no compo to pay another club. Debateable who is a bigger club, Rovers or Villa, but I do think O'neil would not be under as much scrutinty as he was at Villa. Therefore could quietly get on doing his job. There are also some very young and potentially very good players at Rovers. He could bring them on well. His style of football is not that bad either.

David Moyes would be the best to work under a tight budget. But would he leave Everton? Compo to Everton, who incidently need the money. If he would come, then Moyes for me. But i cannot see it happening. So reality says, Martin O'neil.

Somebody mentioned Laudrup to me the other day. Mainly because John Jensen was his assistant at other clubs. But I don't want any manager / assistant who is connected with Kentario. I would like the club to deal with any agent apart from kentario - if that is possible.

I voted other, again purley because anyone would be an improvment.

As glen mullan said though would any one like Ancelloti, hughes ect come in?

If not we will have to lower expectations.Bob Bradley isn't a bad shout.

How about Chris Colemon, Ex rover and did ok at Fulham?

Ill throw a name "silly" name for the manager spot out here.

Kjetil Rekdal - some may know him from a beatiful struck volley at Wembley against in England in the qualifier for the world championships in USA and has played for clubs such as , Borussia Mönchengladbach, Lierse, Rennes,

He is now only 42 years old and have a very good CV for those who follow Norwegian football.

He is the manager of my local club Aalesund FK. A team heading for relegation in the season 08/09, but before he took over Aalesund he was the coach of Vålerenga. He became coach of Vålerenga in 2001 and the year after promoted them to the top flight. The year after that he won the Norwegian cup and in 2005 managed to win the Top Division with Vålerenga. (promotion, cup gold and league winners) !

He then took over as a coach for KV Lierse who at that point had only 2 points. With his coaching capabilities the club climbed to a qualifying spot, but did lose the fight for survival.

Rekdal became coach for Kaiserslautern i 2007, but was sacked after a short stint i 2008.

4 of November 2008 he came the coach of my local club Aalesund FK. A club in turmoil with a bad squad who had suffered relegation / promotion / relegation / promotion the years before. The year after 8. November 2009 he then went on to win the Norwegian cup against their main rivals Molde FK who on paper was a much better team. Aalesund was suffering from a bad squad and few resources, but he made them play out of their skins. He also picked a few very good bargains and put together a "in your face" team. The year after they went on to get 4th place in the league (Highest position ever for Aalesund). After the season where we came 4th place he had to sell his most influential players. Thor Hogne Aarøy went to Japan and Anders Lindegaard went to Manchester United. The club got money and he started pulling strings to the board where we have a cheapish investor who dont wanna spend money and made them bring him some good "fancy-dans" as Jim would've called them. He blended them in carefully so they could adapt to the tempo of the league. This year its been tough in the league, but the team is ready for a semifinal in the cup and have just beaten AZ Alkmaar at home in the Europa League. One victory away from group stages in the Europa League which would be such a remarkable achievement its hard to explain. In the first legs we have beaten Elfsborg (top of swedish football), Ferencvaros (old Hungary proudness - Puskas old club) and FC Neath from Wales.

Kjetil Rekdal is famous for saying some stupid things in the media (Ian Holloway?). He also known for be extremely demanding to his players and always give them believe that a win is able to achieve. He is good at changing the game - switching from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 to get the ball more in to the box towards the end. He plays good football with your youngsters who I dont think would have much game time in other squads in the league.

I agree with Glen/Nelsta, as much as I would love someone of the calibre of Mark Hughes, Rafa Benitez or Martin O'Neill - I just can't see it happening....

If Venkys want an experienced Premiership manager, who won't cost us a bomb, then we're looking at the next tier down from the above list ie;

Alan Curbishley, Gordon Strachan, David O'Leary, Dave Jones, Chris Coleman or Billy Davies...

No other current Premiership manager is likely to come to us at the moment, so the alternatives to all the above is another untried manager from the Championship/ League One or someone from abroad (both huge risks)

If we're bottom after ten games, it'll be interesting to see how Venky's react...

Not sure we need another thread or poll to gauge supporters' opinions or is this Hughesy just clutching at straws trying to maintain the status quo ?

I voted 'other' because anyone would be an improvement on Kean and I would include Brian Laws in that category !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going back to Greg's point about it costing a huge amount of money if Kean is deemed unemployable, I'm not sure that I follw that. Surely, Rovers' maximum exposure would be the remaining term of his contract and, if Rovers had played their cards right, it's likely they could have got him out for next to nothing if what one of my legal friends said is correct.

I'd love Hughes but he would never come, he left Fulham because they didn't have enough cash to satisfy his ambitions.

Why is Alan Curbishley not in there? He's my first choice, mainly because most on that list aren't realistic at all. Moyes? O'Neill? Ancelloti?!

Same LeChuck, probably would favour Curbs because realistically he might come.

We asked him in Hong Kong outside Jo Bananas when we were all a bit @#/?. I think he would.. Apparently he was interviewed by Bob Coar and John Williams about 10 years ago for the job.
