Good Evening All,

My name is Simon Littler and I am one of the of the organisers(alongside Glen Mullan)of the fans open meeting on Thursday 20th October 2011 and the protest on the dat of the Spurs match on Sunday 23rd October 2011.

Whilst the opinion on previous protests has been divided. Recently the pendulam has swung quite considerably in favour of this course of action.

Please see below for a full schedule of the proposed schedule of events this week. We are due to meet the police and club later this week to finalise details. Therefore as things progress this week it would be very much appreciated if we would be able to get an idea of the number of people who will be joining us. This is so we can make arrangements for the number of stewards required to self police the march.

Scheduled below is timetable of events planned leading up to and on the day of the Match.

Thursday 20th October 2011 19.30

An open fans meeting has been organised for supporters to openly discuss their worries about the clubs both short and long term future. This will be held at:

... Uncle Jacks Public House

Lower Darwen

Blackburn

Lancashire

BB3 0PQ.

Sunday 23rd October 2011 Meeting time 12.30pm

A protest March asking for the removal of Blackburn Rovers Manager Steve Kean is scheduled to take place. We wish to have the march set off around 14.15 and take the route down to Ewood Park following the one way system, Upon arrival at the ground we wish to circle the ground once as we did on the last March and don’t foresee any problems as the Rovers supporters will be sitting in all four stands at Ewood Park, The numbers for the March are expected to be much larger than the previous March as more and more supporters have joined the Protest campaign

Brown Cow Inn

125 Livesey Branch Road

Blackburn

Lancashire

BB2 4LU

Sunday 23rd October 2011 16.45

Following the match we plan to hold a sit-in protest, this will be in all stands of the ground and will be an extension of the fans determination to have their voice heard.

Blackburn Rovers FC

Ewood Park

Blackburn

BB2 4JF

All these motions are being strategically planned with peace and health & safety at the forefront. We have asked for both Police and club co-operation to ensure that all these events are carried out with no obstruction or prejudice.

We still require volunteers to help steward the March so if you are interested in helping please feel free to contact us at any of the following:

We are hoping to get a big press turn out and get a lot of fans interviewed. we need to drill it home it is 99% who want him out not 1%. Plus it will be good to meet people and speak with them before we march. Rover fans together.

I am going to print a 12m long banner for Sundays sit in protest after the match. I would get it out during the match but I know for a fact that the stewards would confiscate it and destroy it. Ideally I would love it to be held up during the match in the Riverside stand right in the center of the stand for maximum exposure but like I said, it will be confiscated on, I would imagine, Keans orders.

Therefore I will sneak it into the ground (anyone from BRFC reading this I sit in the Darwen End ^_^ )

And I will get it out after the match at the sit in.

The banner is going to be Steve Kean's PL game stats and also on the end will be "TAKE POSITIVES FROM THAT"

It will have ten times more effect getting it out 5 minutes before full time. No stewards are getting anything out of the riverside with 1000s of people flocking out like they do, and Kean and Venkys and the TV cameras will all see it.

Make sure you get the spelling and grammar right though Ralf, the one you said in the other thread made no sense.

Nothing worse than having a big banner with spelling mistakes on it.

Says Steve Kean "yes there were banners held up by the fans, but I think if you look at some of the banners, they are pointing out there are positives to take like we are playing well and the value of the squad is more then it was 6 months ago"

"All the supporters are saying is 'we don't have enough points but we can still take positives' and I'm sure we will finish in the top half if they stick with us"

What sort of turn out is expected for the march?

The response has been much larger than last time, so I wouldnt like to put an estimate on things, All I do know is fans need to air their voice and if they chose not to, then Kean will remain. Results will not be enough to have him removed from the equation and Venkys arte stalling for time.

The day Venkys bought our club is the day Blackburn Rovers stopped being about football and results!!

Those things only matter to the fans,we may not have millions like Jack Walker did, but without us there is no club.

John Williams emailed me the other day and said "He couldnt even bring himself to come to Ewood when Rovers played City" but could not comment further

The last line above is astonishing! If someone had told me 18 months ago I would be reading the likes of that I would have laughed from here to Pune.

Really sad to read.
