An apology if this has been done before.

After searching the web, I found a few articles naming the worst managerial reigns. I decided to see how the managers on their lists stand up against the ‘Brilliant’ Steve Kean record at Rovers.

I tried to find as many modern examples and keep it to managers who were given a decent amount of time to prove themselves.

Howard Wilkinson – Sunderland FC October 2002 to March 2003

Steve Kean – Blackburn Rovers 5th November 2010 to Present(God help us all)

Games: 32

Losses:16

Win %: 18.75

So it appears Kean isn’t quite the worst manager ever but with the backing of Venkys and 99% of us fans behind him, I do believe that he can set the new record.

It just goes to show that a change is needed now more than ever. If the club is in financial difficulty which certain rumours suggest, then can we really afford to stick with a man who almost guarantees relegation.

For any fans who might believe Kean is the man who kept us up last season and can do again, then i suggest you study the table from last season. It was the points gained under Allardyce that gave us any chance going into the last few games of the season.

I personally only support the players. I've had my fill of Kean, Venky's and Anderson and I am sick of what they have done to the club i love. Time for everyone to stand up and make yourselves heard.

Stand up for Rovers

There are different ways of measuring progress such as the value of the squad. You have sadly opted to leave this valuable imformation from your post.

Another thing, you have mentioned wins, draws and losses, surely the imperative statistic that football managers are measured on is the opposition area entry statistics.

I do hope you realise that this negative topic will result in a counter post by the 99% of fans who can see that "we are doing well".

Its time to stop all this negative nonsense and get behind Kean and the Venkys.

Football has never been about winning for our Steve its about getting into the opposition area, making strange subs and keeping the owners bamboozled with positive double-speak.

when our Stevie successfully beats the mighty high-flying Wigan Athletic, I believe you and a lot of other nay-sayers are going to feel pretty silly.

Also don't forget those managers probably had a better moisture content on the playing surface for their win games

I think it was a good post actually, squad value is subjective and is more of a 'grey area' compared to the black and white of win/loss results.

I don't think it's that he 'opted' to leave it out, it's just there is no clear way of measuring it, especially the value of historic squads.

If/when Kean becomes ''the worst manager'' I wonder if the Raos will host a Party as he's won something under their reign?

It'll have to be a big splash to invite the 99%

do you think he might have been just a teeny weeny bit sarcastic there?

Wilkinson took over at Sunderland after thay had made a disasterous start and were already relegation certainties. This is the usual way a new manager takes over, when the team is struggling. As we bucked the trend here Kean was lucky enough to have a low pressure mid table starting point so his un-achievements are even more remarkable. Surely this makes him the worst ever.
