The key issue seems to be that Venky's will not listen to fan pressure in any way, shape or form. This is appalling ownership. Clearly. But if we accept this is the case then logically the protests serve no purpose other than the negative effect they have on the players and the club's image.

The run of games highlighted in the Op are also relevant. If we can play as well as we have against the top teams, against the teams around us, then we might be able to pick up points. And it's only a 'might'. Kean is a terrible top level manager, without the grit to construct a team that forces out victories. But he can motivate and the players will be trying. We might get lucky if the fans play the twelfth man.

Protests will only hurt this.

Or so the argument goes. Seems like we're damned any which way, doesn't it?

I will certainly not just accept this is the case, By just accepting it you condone it..... Plans are already advancing on our next move, and best bit of it, Venkys aint got a clue what is going on. This is why the word "Protest" has been quiet this week, because we have adopted a different approach. To date the barriers that have been put in place have had effects on protest, the club will not be allowed to play that card this time.

We have always supported the players so nothing will change there, but the fight goes on.... We have just chosen not to point score this week

Far too much onus is being placed on the fans. It seems that we are being blamed for everything. A lot of people have very short memories. The relegation battle last year was met with pure passion from the Rovers fans, we cheered them on no end. I think we served our club admirably in that run in. This season, after a summer of so much promise, has yielded so very little. One win to shout about, and a hell of a lot more stress to go with it. The only people who can turn this round are the players. Forget the manager, he has proved his worth. It's up to the players to perform, and if we manage a couple of back to back wins the nervous energy will slowly disappear. The fans aren't going to be able to be the twelfth man right now, there is just too much uncertainty and apprehension.. It's over to you the players, we'll do our best but until you can give us a good run nothing will change.
