It seems Chris Samba refused to play and train on Tuesday

http://www.google.com/3871-samba_spits_his_dummy_out_again.html

He's provided good service over the years, and quite frankly, I wouldn't want to play for Kean and Venky's either. I should normally be angry about this article if there is any truth to this gossip, but then I put myself in his boots and I think - "I'd want to get out too !"

In different times, I'd be angry at what seems like disloyalty and biting the hand that feeds you - but my view is that the club is not the same as the one that Samba first joined.

I suspect many of us are waiting for Venkys to go, and for that club to return too.

Do you write for footy daft?

He's being absolutely humiliated in a bid to get a reaction and turn him into the bad guy.

He's already said he's fit and ready to play and Kean Venkys won't pick him.

We shouldn't judge everything we read to be true. There are as usual too many uninformed knee jerk reactions on here being made by people without the intellect or knowledge to judge properly. Judgement that apperars to be based on nothing more than a random internet article.

Consider...

Given the events and lies of the first 12 months of the Venkeys reign and the way senior players and no doubt players that he has strong affinity with have been simply discarded recently then I'm not suprised if a stand off situation exists. We need to bear in mind that football is a team game in which strong personal bonds are formed that last a lifetime not just a season or two. Samba has seen his teammates simply cast aside. Senior pro's of the ilk of Salgado, EHD, Nelsen, Emerton etc. Anybody who may have spoken out against the new regime in fact. Before we condemn Samba we need to consider the colossus that he has been for us, very often when other players heads have dropped his actions have proven to be an inspiration to his team mates. Not for nothing was Nelsen made Club captain to make room for Samba to be team captain. If there is any truth in this story is this normal and what we would expect from him or is it out of character?

As for the public media face of Kean with which he appears humble, fair minded and amiable and the way he always absolves refereeing mistakes that have screwed us over we know is just that, a public image. We know too from the early days disposal of Allardyce, Williams and EHD that his actions have always spoken louder than his words. A smiling assassin? Whether Kean is following orders from Pune, Geneva or the bank makes little difference cos from Samba's perspective and indeed ours the club has gone from a well run and respected Premier stalwart of achievement to a complete bloody shambles. A shambles which has now subjected the club to accusations of betting scandal, asset stripping, money laundering, illegal third party payments to agents etc. It'd be interesting to see what Barclays have on file to make them so jumpy.

Unfortunately Samba will one day soon be able to wash off the stench of the Venkeys reign and move on .... we can't! Come what may we will be stuck with it lingering in our nostrils and in our stomachs for a very long time. Probably till death us do part. :angry2:

It's really difficult to be confident about anything with Rovers theses days. Just look at the Nelsen, Salgado, Andrews & Roberts' sagas.

Kean's TV interview about Nelsen was a major embarrassment.

IMO, as a club, we can sink no lower.

Samba has said he's available to play.

After recent events, who do you believe ? Samba or Kean / club ? I know who my money would be on.

A total feckin shambles.

really pleased Samba is doing this, it really highlights how screwed we are to the press.

do I care samba is not playing?, not at all, Blackburn Rovers doesn't exist while Kean and Venkys are here, we are already doomed, I wouldn't play for them either, and I don't watch Blackburn anymore becuase I enjoy it, it's more like being on a motorway and looking at the results of a car crash, but you'd rather not look.

so just because we are hitting a bad patch you refuse to support us. just seems certain so called rovers fans only come to ewood when we are doing well.

way to go with twisting my words and not mentioning Kean or Venkys in your little attack, very impressive.

I guess Samba should play for true fans like you, but I can't remember why exactly.

Perhaps you could tell Desai and her clan to support the dingles. Our owners clearly don't care about Blackburn Rovers so what's different? Or do you still believe that Venkys are the club's saviours?

This is how many, many supporters feel, because simply, as one poster has said, it no longer feels like our club.

These are not 'fair weather' supporters but supporters, in some cases, who have followed Rovers way before you were even born.

Not all Rovers' supporters are as blinkered, naive and gullible as some, so I would therefore be very careful who you are telling to fook off and perhaps reserve your comments for the deserving, one of whom you were fawning all over in the August window.

This isn't a 'bad patch', this is like nothing the club has ever experienced.

As I said on a different thread I know folk that have watched us through thick and very thin over 4/5/6 decades, that live for BRFC and are vowing never to return until these parasites are gone.

Are they 'so called Rovers fans' or do they no longer recoginse the club?

I almost feel like some fans are taking the absolute disintegration of our club as some sort of p*ssing contest to prove who's a "true fan" by continually supporting the club like nothing has changed and things aren't in a complete state of shambles.

Then (hopefully) when Venkey's leave and normal order resumes they can tell all the fans who stopped watching that they're not real fans cos they stuck it out longer.

If your club doesnt feel like your club anymore, if you don't like the owners, the manager, the board and some of the players then i see no fault in not feeling like supporting them as you used to.

The club needs to give the fans something to get behind. Has Blackburn under the Venkey's ownership ever done this?

Yet our manager used to say that all the players were behind him!

Exactly, but the truth is these fans are simple like Hughesy, they probably choose to ignore the reality or it's possible they don't have the capacity to understand.

It's support Blackburn or your not a fan, nothing else exists.

Hitting a bad season and a half and going down------and that's just the football side of it! Wake up.

It's almost like if they don't acknowledge it then it doesnt exist to them. Well fair enough if you want to take the ostrich approach but don't go attacking fans that aren't so short-sighted and can see the gradual disintegration of their club.

I would argue that you could be more of a "real" fan if you are willing to acknowledge the sh*t we're in, rather than just being happy with 3 points on a matchday.
