No he is not a committee member.

He is involved as a volunteer helping publicise the marches. Asking local shops, pubs , clubs, etc to display posters regarding details of the march. Whilst handing leaflets out either to passers by or posting through people's letter boxes.

As for his use of the word scum we are not a dictatorship and dont tell people what they can or can't say. Though I do take your point on board

Cheers Simon.

Shivery sounds like he is a grafter for the cause - fair play to him.

Suggestion. Tone down the yellow for the march.

I can guarentee it will get more undecideds marching if you do.

Definitely agree with this although Simon did say there are no pre planned colours this time

There are no colours simple as. Blue and white, black and Red, yellow and black it's completely the Individuals choice as it should always be. Simple as that. As for splitting march in 3 we are trying encourage more people to join from every part of the town. Yes there is an issue with Golden Cup and Uncle Jacks being so close and from similar sides of the town. However it's about people feeling they can join in and feel included. We have had feed back about about colours and continually leaving from the Brown Cow. So as pointed out earlier we have removed the colours and moved locations.

It's a massive risk but one we are willing to take to hopefully encourage more fans to march.

Yep.

That will happen when people no longer have pre-paid tickets next season.

I forsee (and hope) for attendances below 5000.

I certainly will not be there but while I have a ticket I have paid for I intend to strike down with great vengeance and furious anger at those who attempt to poison and destroy my club, and they will know I am the Plastic Head when I lay my vengeance upon them.

Should there be as total boycott of ONE home premier league game this season just to give the game of football in this country, the people who run it, the arseholes who provide an enormous amount of punditry on the game the snub and show our unacceptance to what is the sorry state of not only Rovers but the game of football in this country.

The football industry in this country needs shaking to its core.

Protests are achieving nothing, they probably are not even being reported back to Venkys....who have no intention of selling.

The only place to hit them is in India....either that or start sacrificing Chickens in the ground on TV and we will soon have a load of animal protestors causing a media storm for us :o

hughesy, if it wasnt from protest do you think rovers would have been in media as much? do you think there share prices would of gone down by 81%?

do you think venkys getting bad name in england hasnt already got indian media watching club closer than ever and tv news channels over there doing interviews?

do you ever read anything in the india times or anything like that or just go of the let news????

its our club if you want to sit there and do nothing then do so but sorry im not one to sit there and watch our club die il fight for it till it kills me!!!

The protest movement has got our plight noticed, there is no question of that. It's gone from a march, to a sit in, to a plane, to a 24 hour vigil, to front page editorals in the local paper, to coverage in the Indian media, to it being raised at Westminister.

Unfortunately it's aims of removing Kean and jolting Venky's into running the club in a fit and proper manner has obviously failed.

Shivery, are you on the BRAG committee?

I know you said you were heavily involved but in what capacity?

Do the committee endorse the word 'scum' when referring to Venkys? Just asking.

no not commitee pal, just a loyal member what believes in it all and helping out!!

the word scum in my eyes isntnt strong enough word for venkys, for what they have done to our club iv got a hell of lot more stronger words!!!

Im just a genuine person who says it how it is, i dont mess around, your better to be onist, and you will always get that from me,

il do what ever it takes to get these venkys scum out our club, they deserve to be driven out of buisness and have worst name ever!!

I am not saying that use of that word is wrong, everyone expresses how hey feel in different ways.i was asking if it was endorsed by BRAG as they are hoping for direct dialogue with the owners, either via Paul Hunt or directly. Using the word scum may not speed up that process.

do you onastly think paul hunt is bothered about things at the club, if he was the loyal fan he calls him self same as kean they would be demanding venkys came over here!!!

read the brag website please about the meeting what was to take part will you the minutes are on the website and read about the meeting with paul hunt, please do and let me know what you opinion is of him them

Fair play for trying, but I just don't see what this is going to achieve....

for fans to come together, thats what we aim for this weekend, its time every single rovers fan stuck together and we pushed these out are club

Suggestion. Tone down the yellow for the march.

I can guarantee it will get more undecideds marching if you do.

will you be joining matt if that happens,

we cant tell people what to wear but the message has been put across to members of brag to mix colours as to wear more blue n white,

we are trying are damdest here, we just need all fans as one and fight this together

but matt youve said it all there pal but your missing the main thing BIG NUMBERS AT THESE AVENTS pal, its not going to happen over night, people think its going to but it aint, the saying rome wasnt built in a day is true saying, we need huge numbers and people to stick together and it will happen, i can gaurantee that, the clubs panics enough now when there is hundred what would they be like if there was thousands on board???

the club hate the protests going on, but if they not willing to do anything to help the cause (ie) steve kean or paul hunt getting in touch with venkys and telling the the true situation whats goin on and they need to be over here sorting problems out instead of leaveing it to a kid what should be on his playstation or xbox instead or trying to run a football club with no football knowledge at all, then the protests are going to carry on!!

thuis was put forward to boycott 1st 15mins of a game we put it to a vote to see if people would do it, and people wouldnt do 15mins never mind fulll game pal,

i would to be onist with you and be outside players enterance for full 90mins, if its to be done it needs to be a telivesed tv game where it will look twice as bad, live sky game no supporters in seats, they would look absolrute clowns then!!

I no coventry fans did it this year for the 1st 15mins of a game and it look really good, no supporters at the game except for away supporters!!

super, where you going from pal, its a risk but hey if we dont try we get called and when we do try people moan, but we can only try, we all need to stand together as one,

I was wondering if those Occupy London folk have found another use for their tents yet.

Imagine Ewood with a load of Gelert two-man's spelling "Kean Out" across the turf! :tu:

Where do away fans congregate these days? Is Fernhurst back open, may be interesting all marching past them as villa fans can get a bit rowdy, having said that they are on the brink of protest themselves I think!

Fearnhurst not open till 5th and strong rumours new owners want it home fans not away fans ( only a rumour). So suspect you going to get alt a golden Cup and Uncle Jacks. They may even join in.

Having split objectives dilutes the effectiveness of any kind of protest. Outsiders will be unable to tell whether you are aggrieved at the business-like nature of football that excludes and alienates fans from the game; or whether you are just a bunch of children delivering a noisy and incoherent verdict about a manager.
