[Archived] Why do the media hate rovers fans and love kean?

Recommended Posts

Rovers have never been liked by the media.

This season they couldn't decide if we were now a 'footballing team' (which we were when Rovers and Kean were the main subjects of discussion) or still the dirty Northern long ball merchants (our name was still being mentioned alongside Stoke when pundits are listing unattractive sides).

I don't want to get a persecution complex but the tone of many other fans and pundits reek of Rovers not deserving their place in the EPl anyway and that we as fans should be grateful for any coverage we get.

Q. Why do the media hate rovers fans and love kean?

A. Because IMO you make it so easy for them to do so.

Kean talks after the games (truth or lies is irrelevant).

Protesters march, shout and boo.

Kean High fives his players after a good match.

Protesters Boo.

Kean talks to his players before the match and tries to encourage them.

Protesters march, shout and boo.

Owner show-up to support their team (Yes, THEIR team).

Protesters shout and boo.

Can you honestly not see a pattern here? Can you really not see why you've made it so easy for the press to take a dislike to you? When the press didn't come to your aid during the protesting at the start of the season, did you think that they would change their minds if you kept going? Seriously?

Malk - Reason is a rare commodity on this board. You have to be either angry, unreasonable and paranoid, or you're not considered a genuine fan.

What a load of crap, all you and your chicken friends need to know is that they have achieved their goal.

Club relegated, fans in uproar, let the asset stripping begin.

I am so sick of Venkys, kean and all persons relating to these criminals (that includes you!).

Tell me at what point will the morons in india finally realise everyone is on to their scheme.

To hell with the lot of you, its not THEIR CLUB, if it was then let it burn I say.

Rovers is now and always will be the fans, can't stand their bull or yours.

even ballatelli was sticking up for us on twitter, i used to ring up talkshite regularly, when it was good with the likes of tom watt, alvin martin etc, adrian dumbdumb apparently hates rovers ever since his beloved peterborough came to ewood back in the 70s or 80s and he was up at ewood and got attacked by a group of rovers fans, so dont expect any support from him, i dont listen to talkshite anymore, full of dickheads

In direct answer to the topic question...

The whole world is witnessing a corporate take-over, the media are part of it, they dont care about the people. You could say that BRFC have been

Well I'm ashamed to say (for what it's worth - nothing admittedly) I heard those bastions (I said bastions) of equality Keyes and Gray both say it was a) the owner's fault (singular, limited company)b)the manager's fault c) not in any way the supporters fault.

So we have that weighty moral endorsement to comfort us all.

On the contrary, Durham was supportive of Rovers fans and dismissed claims it was our fault. But then, his job is to wind everyone up so they call in so whether he believed what he was saying or not is another matter.
