Any update on this?

What happened to MG's charity?

The shirts look a joke without a sponsor.

Why do they? I think they look much better without a sponsor, especially the home kit.

Apart from money going to the club - it baffles me why people desire a company's logo plastered across our famous shirt.

I agree it looks better, maybe it's just the embarrassment of not even having a company that is willing to sponsor us

I actually think the lack of a sponsor makes the kit look more stylish.

Now if our owners were truly billionaires who did not need money and could are less about a few million in sponsor fees, I'd be very comfortable with the decision to pass on a sponsor. But considering the cheapness, the cost cutting, the surreal expectancies, I don't think the owners decided to pass on the pounds. Instead, it appears they failed to achieve another goal.

Is the Venky's logo been shown the boards around the ground?

Yea it is one of our very few sponsors around the pitch - they're behind the goals.

From my seat the only ones I can see are Bee radio, QEGS and one other I can't make up.

I find it very telling a while back MG stated his company had to stop looking for a sponsor as they already had one now we are into the season and we have no sponsor on the shirt how these people have lasted in business so long I will never know and for me it is not about the shirt looking good without a sponsor it is about the money about the way we are losing loads of money through no sponsors down on hospitality season tickets massively downand their total incompetancy to do the basics to achieve success speaks volumes about their credentials to run a company I guess it also explains why we have given up on getting Rhodes and now going for Luke dog***** Moore!.

According to todays LT the club is currently in talks with a few companies about the shirt & stand sponsorships.

Agnew basically saying they have to keep the value in the shirt sponsorship, i.e. rather not sell it than sell it for pennies

There's still loads of sponsors around the pitch, it looks like the main ones missing are the ones on the JW stand and WEC has obviously gone. The JW ones are the first ones to go because they don't get on TV with the limited camera angles. Venkys was either side of the halfway line too.

I can't speak for what's left on the BBurn End as I can't see there.

Bring back McEwans :rover:

There's a lot of truth in this. That's why teams choose to have charities on their shirts rather than settle for a poor deal - because of the tax benefits they can claim back.

Maybe Agnew needs to realise there is no value being associated with a club owned by Venkys and managed by Kean

More absolute twaddle.

Which sane corporate is going to walk into a war where:

- The alleged owners are falling out between themselves

- The smokescreen rational explanation for the basketcase business management of the club is that there is a war between the newly appointed Global Advisor and the newly appointed Operations Director

- There is good reason to fear your brand will be tainted by scandal emanating from the football club and there are fans and investigators digging everywhere

- The club plays abysmal zero entertainment football managed by a lying figure of hate who has an off the scale abysmal track record for losing games

- 50% of the fans are boycotting the club

- 50% of the fans who still attend are likely to yell for the removal of manager and owners whenever a goal is conceded

- Most local commercial sponsors have abandoned the club

- The local politicians are united in their opposition to what is happening at the club

Seriously, Rovers are massively toxic.

Only an absolute idiot would introduce their brand or business into this steaming pile of excrament.

The only problem is most of the boards seem to be for Venkys, NPower Championship (the division we are in) or Umbro (who sponsor the shirts). I take it Sportfive sell the ones visible to TV so with a bigger worldwide audience on Saturday they should have been fully taken.

Sponsorship problems are only the same reasons for the drop of attendance, a lack of faith in Venky's and Kean. Anyone with a brain can surely see that if a decision like sacking the manager would see all of these revenue streams increase. Does the sponsor for the back of the shirt have commercial value or are we not even considering it?

Perhaps if the company contracted to do the clubs PR spent less time preserving the image of the man of dignity Kean and discrediting supporters then firms might look favourably on becoming involved with Rovers. I'm sure as Director of operations Mr Agnew would look to appont a PR company whose sole mission is in the best interests of Blackburn Rovers Football Club and not any individual person or his associates . Anybody know whose currently contracted to do the PR for the club? because in the past it's not been very good and I believe the company that this was with was on a year to year contract.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of what Glen has done and continues to do on behalf of all the fans for the sake of the club we hold so dear.

]

But I think now is the time to get some specialist media advice about how to create and deliver a successful communications strategy against the owners through use of the media.

The latest quote from Glen in relation to WEC pulling out reads very negatively against a company that has done everything in its power to try and force a better situation.

You had the opportunity gift wrapped, to take advantage of the situation with both regional and national press likely to eat up the right kind of quote. Forgive my quick rant & this next quote needs some proper work! But use the opportunity to gain consistency of message.

" It unfortunately comes as no surprise that Blackburn Rovers have failed to provide an effective sponsorship solution to a much loved commercial partner of the club. In the past 18 months, the club has been systematically stripped off its commercial, marketing and senior management structure. At a time when the Rovers fans are voting with their feet against the current regime & manager, it could spell financial disaster for the Venkys with zero commercial revenue and 10,000 fans staying away.

An effective comms strategy needs talking points that are consistent. That way, the message is hugely amplified because the message is delivered over and over again and doesn't get lost with the messages being diluted. One of the reasons why only a small amount of the national press is onside, is because Agnew has a strategy and we don't.

Yourself, any other members of the various action groups & all the fans who call radio stations / post on message boards need to sing from the same hymn sheet

Would love Wild to come out publicly and give his forth right opinions on why WEC have pulled out...both barrels and dont hold back!

I am led to believe Agnew stated that 'Season ticket sales were not as bad as predicted and corporate sponsorship was healthy'.

They basically think we are fookin idiots.

Andy I pretty much said what you have written , the paper has chosen to mis quote . They asked my opinion and I told them its really sad that sponsors , corporates and supporters are being put last by the regime , that this loss of revenue is worrying to the tune that the clubs financial position is being gambled with complete contempt to the supporter base .

Unfortunately I didnt write the article and have no control in what he prints , the whole situation stinks . Having spoke to wayne the time line of events leading to the partnership ending, only points to one thing , that's corruption at the highest order

Agree it's painfully obvious that neither of those statements are true. The facts are there in front of them for all to see. Not sure how they can really deny them.

Is there any other club in the football league without a shirt and corporate sponsorship? I can't think of any. Shows what an abject shower we've become.
