Charlie Magpie
Once again, Chorley FC are offering current Blackburn Rovers season ticket holders admission to their home Evo-Stik League matches for only £5.00. This initiative has run for a number of seasons and an increasing number of Rovers season ticket holders visited Chorley's Victory Park last season when Rovers were playing away or were without a game. The first opportunity to take advantage of this special offer is this Saturday when Chorley are at home against Ilkeston FC and Rovers are playing at Leeds. Kick-off is 3.00pm, but please arrive early and drink lots of beer in the social club! Remember to produce your current (2012-13) season ticket at the turnstile in order to gain admission for only £5.00. Normal admission prices at Victory Park are Adults £9.00 , Concessions (senior citizens over 65, children under 16, students with ID) £5.00. Come along and re-live the old days of standing on the terraces and swapping ends at half-time!

owenrilla
How will you know if what they produce is a current season ticket? Unless they have bought one for the first time this year (!) or have changed seats or something, the ticket will be dated as last season or the season before. Or are you not bothered as long as it gets more people in?
Clitherover
Do the home fans (non season ticket holders) not get a bit pee'd off that Rovers fans are getting a discount on their tickets and they aren't?
Salgado Is A Hero
Do the home fans (non season ticket holders) not get a bit pee'd off that Rovers fans are getting a discount on their tickets and they aren't? They probably just look at the bigger picture and appreciate the higher revenue for their club. Would you have allowed in recent seasons Man United/City season ticket holders to come to Ewood when they're playing away for cheaper but we got more money for it? I would think it's a great idea. Charlie Magpie
They probably just look at the bigger picture and appreciate the higher revenue for their club. Would you have allowed in recent seasons Man United/City season ticket holders to come to Ewood when they're playing away for cheaper but we got more money for it? I would think it's a great idea. That is the situation exactly. Initially we want the football-loving folk of Lancashire to know that non-league football is an occasional alternative to the stresses and pressures of Premier and Championship football. As a Chorley fan, of course I want my team to win, but if we lose it doesn't ruin the rest of my weekend. If we fail to win promotion then I just think of all the other positive aspects of the season - the places we have visited, the new pubs we have frequented, the friends we have made from other clubs, and always a WELL DONE to teams and players that do well and provide us with a Saturday afternoon's entertainment. We don't hate anybody in non-league football, we want all our local teams to thrive and become focal points for our local communities. Last season we were visited by quite a number of Rovers fans, and their blue and white, and black and gold scarves certainly added colour and entertainment to the afternoon! With so many games being moved from Saturday afternoon to Sunday or Monday in order to keep the television people happy, all we are suggesting is that there is an alternative to league football in the locality where we can all enjoy a good game, have a few beers, make new friends and go home happy whether our team wins or loses. P.S. Well done to AFC Darwen, currently 5 points clear at the top of North West Counties League Division One.
