the original david brent
the cheek of it. Mandatory draconian bus and we have to pay £6.50 for the priviledge!
BlueMonday
It makes you laugh. Police forces up and down the country, Police larger and more volatile matches than this without having to resort to such draconian measures. How are Lancs constabulary allowed to get away with it. rovertakenmb
Think I will give Burnley away a miss! Can see why Rovers have done it but no fun being on them buses all day. Might as well get Megabus to Crystal Palace and watch Burnley on TV if fans just going to get put on the beer-less 3 hour bus to Burnley again. Ossydave
In fairness its a good idea having pick ups in Hyndburn too rather than us all trailing to ewood. It took us forever to get off the car park last time and half the coaches were still waiting when we went.
SIMON GARNERS 194
The usual over reaction as expected..was there any mass trouble when the Youth games were played and fans had free travel? Gally
Am I right in thinking that we've got a much bigger allocation than the match in the prem?
only2garners
Yes. We have the whole of the Cricket Field Stand rather than it being split, which is better all round. Having said that the stand holds 3,800 but as yet we've only got 3,000 tickets because of police restrictions. Thier main concern is getting all the Rovers fans off the coaches and into the ground in time. We may get some more tickets up to a possible maximum of 3,400. longsiders1882
I do think it is an over reaction but if they didn't do it now and it kicked off, as I guess it still could, then the police would be asked why they'd reduced the restrictions. As for the allocation, won't you have your usual 12000 in the home stands? ;-)

Agreed, its one game a season we have to do it so as much as I despise coach travel its no big deal. If we were allowed to go by train we would just be marched straight to the ground courtesy of an escort anyway, where's the enjoyment in that? arbitro
I just hope the police (and Rovers fans) have learnt some lessons from the last game when there was a potential disaster looming on the concourse as coaches arrived and too many people loitered on the concourse making it nigh on impossible to get through. On the last occasion the police relented and allowed Rovers fans to bring their drinks into the actual stadium but I don't think they will allow this to happen again. That said there will be more room on the concourse if we get the whole of the cowshed which masquerades as a stand.

Hughesy
the cheek of it. Mandatory draconian bus and we have to pay £6.50 for the priviledge! Think its been subsidised to be honest - just not advertised like that. Bolton fans had to pay £36/ 37 a ticket, ours are only £30 - so the difference is basically the coach fare. The price has been kept down by using a number of double deckers. This also helps get the numbers off transport and into the ground in 90 minutes. OJRovers
I don't think ST holders will sell out the 3k. Going off previous days there will be tickets left, maybe for non-ST holders with 1 away game.

Blueboy Downunder
The usual over reaction as expected..was there any mass trouble when the Youth games were played and fans had free travel? I wonder what allocation Burnley will recieve for Ewood?... yes there was trouble, in blackburn town centre around the boulevard area. there was also some close calls on the platform of blackburn station, and had it not been for the officers on the platform that night, all keaning hell would have broken loose. i will be going. i dont have a problem with the policing measures before, during or after the game. i aint bothered bout not being able to drink before the game, as there is plenty of time when i get back to my apartment.
