Exactly

Its time ppl got behind the team or just dont bother.

I'm in York this weekend but catching an earlier Train back so myself and Family can make the game.

Exactly but not for Rovers fans who support the club through the good and bad times

Awwww my hero . I came back from Amsterdam for the Fulham match ... Am I a superfan too.

I hope there's a decent crowd on too. Anything above 20,000 would be a bonus at the moment.

I sometimes wonder if since 1960 it's been bread into people to hate (or be cynical) towards the club at any available opportuntiy. I think most people who go now aren't going for the entertainment but just to support the club they support.

I hear a lot of people saying 'why should I go and support that lot' or 'I've got better things to do than support that cr@p'. Why be so scathing and enjoy being so? Just admit that you don't want to go and support your team.

I certainly felt that in the early 70's, as Field and co paid a price for the Cup Final debacle.

As for the present, my own kids certainly weren't bred to hate BRFC. They love BRFC and I am not sure they are not actually cynical. They still hope, but they have definitely been hurt and they have learned to be suspicious of the owners' motives. That is about having a critical analysis, as far as I am concerned

I think they decided not to invest their emotions in what was clearly a charade e.g.Kean, Singh, Anderson, Agnew, Shaw...and a whole load of signings, which were questionable in terms of why they were signed in the first place.

The trouble is that once people drift away, it is so hard to win them back.People warned the owners, but did they listen?

I still hope, probably ridiculously so....but I know my own patience is wafer thin...

More fans than empty seats. That's a start at least. Hoped it'd be slightly higher by now.

Would be nice to hit 20,000 but looking at the Reading v West Brom and Watford v Leeds attendances, I don't think we deserve

too much criticism and as far as I know both those games were 3pm ko's, so not live on tv.

Also heard one of the presenters on the bbc say it was a poor crowd at Arsenal too, despite being officially 59k plus.

Not exactly a huge fan of David Gold but its always worth reading something for free. From his own website as you can see...

http://www.davidgold.co.uk/Autobiography/Autobiography.pdf

I met David Gold down at the House of Commons when he was involved in a exhibition re the National Football Museum (he had loaned the original FA Cup which he recently bought) and we had a private wine together on the balcony. He loves his footie and he was a lovely bloke to have a 1-1 chat with.

On the issue of who is a 'superfan' etc please chill out and enjoy our victory tomorrow - life is too short to bicker.

There was no need for the disparaging comments over Savage. After what I've read so far though its hard not to have more respect for him.

I bet you were ruddy glad you did, too, Abbey. Great performance!

If we don't get lots of support then it's a sad reflection on the people of Blackburn. Forget 1960. That's such a long time ago.

Forget Kean, Anderson, Kentaro etc. That's all in the past.

I've been watching Rovers since early 1950s and followed them through thick and thin. I am hooked. It's like a drug.

If you are not hooked then you can take it or leave it. But when you are hooked you follow them through the most horrible, thinnest times of all, hoping that it will get better.

I don't travel to away matches but I try to see all the home matches. I've got my ticket for tomorrow. There may come a day when I cannot get to Ewood and am forced to watch it on the box.

Come on Rovers fans. Those who can make it go down to Ewood and cheer the "stiffs" on. :brfcsmilie:

"Blackburn fell out of the Premier League in 2012, following some poor investments made on behalf of the owners, and went through three managers in six months before Gary Bowyer steadied the ship."

Well, I guess that's one way of putting it.

The discussion was about attending .. Are you at ewood today , if so good boy if not ,sit down shut up .

Any suggestions for parking that allows a smooth getaway up the M6 afterwards.

It's a while since I took the car.

Cheers.

Park on Moorgate street or Newchapel street and cut through. 5 mins to the ground and easy to get back out through mill hill/cherry tree to the motorway network
