Stuart 16646
I simply replied to your post stating Rhodes had not kicked a ball in the PL as yet. We will soon know if all those claiming Rhodes could easily play higher up were correct or not. His first target is to try and get a game. Good luck to the lad, cannot blame him for wanting out at all, but find it amusing he is cut so much slack after agitating for donkeys to leave, whilst the fans were still going to his party. I really don't get this strawman that has been put out there. I've not suggested he is a PL player. He may be, he may not.He is however a prolific Championship player, having been a prolific a League One player. Last time I looked Rovers were on the look out for decent Championship players, not PL ones. Rhodes fitted the bill very well. The small matter the he got promoted with Boro - and scored crucial goals to contribute to the, alongside better players than he ever had at Rovers - must also be considered. We had a great goalscorer, he's gone. Re-writing history or writing him off before he has even kicked a ball in the PL just isn't right. He may well prove to be a PL flop but even a lower league lad like Jon Stead had his day in the sun. Boro are now competing alongside teams like Burnley, Hull and one or two others to stay in the league. If they do and Rhodes contributes then he will be a PL player. Of course this will change to "he never competed against the best teams". It's a moot point anyway.

J*B 4374
Boro have already signed Victor Valdes, now they're due to sign Subotic from Dortmund and Ramirez from Southampton. Spending some bloody money...
Jock 1182
Well done Colin Murray, a man of principle. He is one of the few who has stuck up for Rovers fans. Unlike all the others on Talk5hite.

I wondered if a different style of striker would have helped the team as a whole. So did others including management. No right or wrong, have a good evening. oldjamfan1 4848
So, Kante goes to Chelsea. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36806454 Wonder if one or two other of Leicester's title winners might follow him out of the door now?

They are losing their head of recruitment to Everton as well. Mahrez apparently won't sign a new deal.

chaddyrovers 6032
Is that Steve Walsh? Yep. Supposedly Koeman wants him at Everton as Director of football/Chief Scout
BlueMonday 1247
If there is a fire sale at Leicester, Vardy will probably be regretting his decision right now. Mind you, there will probably be a not so secret trigger clause in his contract.

JHRover 12467
Looks like Hull have major problems. Threadbare squad, not a lot of money, unhappy supporters, unpopular Chairman and now seems no manager.
chaddyrovers 6032
No surprise he left there. Zero to spend this summer. Bruce was close to leaving twice last season.
Iceman 1289
Lovely to see Man United ripped apart by a Champions league team. 4-1 final score
Blue blood 4067
I'm sure the Hull owner is batnuts and have sympathy for the fans but it's no surprise Bruce left. He's always been one for jumping to pastures new so the chances of him staying when things got difficult was negligible.

DE. 12095
Could have been to us I doubt it. I never read anything credible to suggest Moyes was either interested or ever even considered. Moyes is similar to Allardyce in that he tends to get the best out of limited players. Obviously his last two jobs have been disasters for different reasons, but I think he'll keep Sunderland's heads above water next season.

That's one team I'll be betting on to get relegated! Thinking a Burnley/Hull/Bournemouth treble.
donnermeat 838
I must say I am taking some enjoyment on seeing West Ham's attempts to get players in, specifically a striker. Soon as last season finished the porn barons were laying it on thick about how they were going to sign a world class big name striker, to no avail so far! There was talk of Zlatan, then bids for Lacazette and Bacca fell by the wayside. It's obvious the targets weren't interested, and why would they be? In fact it's looking as if they will need someone to replace Sahko too! So for all of their bluster, they're not close to signing this marquee world class forward. Great stuff. Maybe those two big mouth b'stards should come out of their bubble (pun intended) and realise they aren't a top top club that they and the media always rabbit on about, and adjust their transfer targets accordingly. Although he's not a striker, I do believe Sofiane Feghouli is a good signing for them though.
