Anyone would think this Iran conflict has been orchestrated to remove his pending impeachment from the front pages and news outlets
only2garners 1801
Well at least we haven't got any vulnerable UK citizens still in prison in Iran - oh hang on.........

Whether it happens or not is irrelevant, Trump is an egomaniac and the impeachment process will be hurting him to his core. If Trump can move the conversation away from his domestic troubles he'll see that as a major victory under the circumstances.

Well it wont happen Aren't all politicians egimaniac with British or American or etc. Half the country love Trump and half hate him just like it's been for many years. Look at what Republicans did to Clinton during presidency and before. They hated him from day 1 and did everything they could to get him out of the White House

It was interesting, especially listing to politicans from both parties saying the exact same soundbites as today. However, the roles were reveresed. Republicans were gung-ho for it, Democrats against it. As to your comment of all politicans being egomanaics; you may be right but Trump's ego is larger than most and not a like for like comparison. He also has no idea about foreign policy. He didn't spend his working life learning the nuances of international relations whilst in the foreign sevice. His life's work is putting up gaudy buildings, bankrupting casinos, and sitting in a TV studio, while simultaneously trying to get his end away with as many women as possible. To be fair both Kennedy and Clinton shared his last named interest.

We've already established you care about no one other than your family. It doesn't surprise me in the least you fail to see there are some people who go in to political life with a real desire to do good. But you wouldn't understand that, if it even occurred to you to consider it.

I have no regrets about voting the way I did. All my family and majority of friends did vote the same way as me. We have no regrets about voting that way
Husky 1961
Have we taken our country back yet? As far as I'm aware a massive part of taking your country back is to nationalise your public services, yet the people seemingly wanted the Tories to continue to let foreign companies largely run our public transport and utilitities. Bizarre! Edited January 6, 2020 by Husky

Pretty much everyone who goes in to political life does so with a desire to do good - different people have different views as to what is good.

Doesn't apply to Baby Trump. Johnson has 2 functions - to massage his own ego and act as poodle to the US.

What do you think of Sadiq Khan's view that the electorate got it right at the last election, and Angela Rayner's denunciation today of anti-semitism in the Labour party.
