Walker is playing on the right of back 3 like he did in the World Cup 2018 where we finished 4th in the tournament.

Tripper is playing left back cos Chilwell is injured. Is Saka injury? Do we have any more good left back playing at the minute?

Alexander-Arnold will be the right wing back role. Same role he played for liverpool back in back 4. Cos he is wing back role there and provided the width.

Good try but still doesn't disguise the fact Southgate has picked 3 right backs.

And there isn't a left footed player in the team

Pickford useless? what a complete over reacting again from yourself. He should be number 1 for England and his performances for England have been very good.

Yes the natural right back Walker in back 3 but we had that when we finished 4th in 2018 world cup, didn't see you complaining then?

Dier is a natural centre back and thats why he started his career there for Sporting Lisbon. Also Mourinho has made him his number 1 choice at Spurs. Is Mourinho wrong?

Who else can we play at Left back with Saka and Cresswell out? any names instead of moans from you? Also Leicester right back Castagne is playing left wing back which everyone has over look.

Mount should be starting anyway. His form is good and he would be in my starting 11 for England. Just like Maddison would be.

Mount is a good young player but he  isn't a better player or in better form than Grealish.

Castagne will be moving to left back for Leicester when Perreira is back.He was bought to replace Chillwell.

Well we don't know where Castagne will play when Perriera is back. But Castagne is right footed player playing left back same as Tripper.

Regarding Dier, there is your answer. Dismal defending. Just not a particularly good player.

If you're fit enough for the bench you're fit enough to play.

Any answer to the left back question I asked?

I think Saka is fit, just one of quite a few not to make the bench.

The whole balance of this team is totally wrong. We were building momentum with a 433 and hes reverted back to this stupid formation, square pegs in round holes, 3 centre backs and 2 holding midfielders shite.

well clearly he isn't is fit enough to start otherwise he would be.

If hes fit enough to come on later he's fit enough to start, you're either fit enough to play or you aren't,if you aren't you shouldn't be in the squad.

I think we've been practicing this formation to for this game with Belgium specifically. But it looks a total fail.

We haven't broken their lines once.

Is he fit or not? was he good against Wales?

Stupid Formation? the formation we finished 4th at the world cup in 2018. Oh yes stupid isn't.

Henderson is a box to box midfielder not a defensive one.

Also another reason for playing with 3 at the back is just out of form our centre backs are like Gomez, Maguire are.

building momentum? we haven't played for months due to lockdown.

Plus Southgate said back in March he was going to playing 3 at the back to try to get us a plan B

Southgate doing a Mowbray here - over-thinking it and trying to be too clever. Football's quite simple - play your best players in the best positions

Absolutely this at international level.

Southgate has earned a go at another tournament, but he needs to be braver.

Similar to Rovers - we’ve got a plethora of quick, skilful attackers that trouble anyone we play.

Set up on the front foot, press, attack.

Sit back against this kind of quality and the defence just can’t handle it.

Picking the system and then picking the players to suit is understandable in the “rebuild” that Southgate was tasked with.

But at some point you have to switch to getting the best out of the best players - otherwise you get square pegs, round holes, and give too much respect to the opposition, letting them dominate.

We’ve seen it at Ewood.
