Rovers v Middlesbrough Tuesday 3rd November

Recommended Posts

Just shows what a good manager can do with a squad. We were pinned in our own half for 70% of that game. You can see why Boro are in the top 6. Well done Rovers defence, keeper in particular. Glad of a point.

Fantastic result in context with all the players we had missing. Defence resolute. Might be a very big point that come the end of the season!

Well done the lads who played. Essentially their first team vs our second string. Another injury but we keep on fighting.

Big point to keep us up I presume you mean ?

He was terrible?

Yea not sure why anyone would say Pears looked good tonight. Clean sheet despite Pears not because of him. For a rare change will give the back 4 credit, everyone else that was awful.

We seemed shocked at how much Middlesbrough pressed us and couldn't react. My god Gallagher did nothing all night i'd rather stick one of the youth strikers in if Armstrong isn't back next game, is Vale still injured?

We were utter dogdick tonight. That said I have a funny feeling that if we had Arma we might have sneaked it on the break.

Wharton is my secret man of the match. Twice near the end he very cleverly positioned himself and held the Boro players to stop them scoring easy chances.

Thought Boro was awful. We were abysmal. Poor game with two poor clubs. Enough.

They’re 2 points off second and thumped us for 90 mins ?
