Poor referee but Rovers look like a jigsaw puzzle with half of the pieces missing and a few pieces in the wrong places.

Why does Nyambe keep driving forward to do absolutely nothing but make us weaker in defence? Too many players not looking up for it and Dolan looks out of place today he should be on the wing with Gallagher in the middle.

Tony just stands there grobbing on the floor, eyes staring at nothing in particular, sometimes sitting.

both full backs move forwards then pass the ball all the way back, whats the fckin point

He’ll be out with his usual clap trap for explaining today away: ‘Brentford had a more rest than us’ (*coincidentally that didn’t help us vs Barnsley when we got played off the park), ‘they had Toney fit while Arma was out’, ‘they’re 4-5 years ahead of us in terms of recruitment.’

How long does Dack have to be missing before we form a search party?

As I pointed out in the previous 2 games, if you get the ball regularly into the box and allow Dack to find space then he will be the Dack of old. He's a technically gifted goal poacher. That's how he has always scored most of his goals. He scored against Swansea finding space in the box. He had a golden chance in the last minute of the previous game at Ewood before that because his movement and touch was superb but he fluffed the shot.

However we are playing him in a basicmidfield role. Its all wrong for him. He's always 30 yards from goal and just receiving it and playing it off simple. The formation is screwed for him.  Put BB up top, get Dack just off him and fire it in to them. It's got to be better than 20 passes in our own half and then lump it into a channel for Dolan to chase

Rubbish. If we were scared to move forward in case someone gave the ball away we'd never get out of our own half.

Then again, we haven't anyway.

Nyambe was stood where a winger would be.  We've been caught out time and time again by full backs being out of position.

It's simple. Play wingers on the wing and let the defenders defend.

It's just a shit system we play that we don't have the players for.

Schooled our CBs but only had the one shot on target. A non-penalty.

I feel like the narrative for a lot of these players is written before the match. Judge them on what happens on the pitch on the day

My initial comment was he is a level above anything we have. He is. He walks into our best 11.

The idea of Tony being in charge as we sell our best players to reinvest scares the hell out of me considering how ineffective the £12m duo on the wings are on a regular basis.

The pen was a joke. However the bigger joke was our first half performance. We've been pressed out the game with no way to pass through. And obviously the long balls aren't going to stick to Dolan unless you somehow get it into his feet.

Mowbray needed to at least experiment with the positioning of our front three in that first half. But no. We change nothing. He just stands there watching it not work.

We have played on this pudding of a pitch for weeks and yet we still can barely string two passes together on it. Brentford adapted to the conditions straight away and look comfortable. This is annoying beyond belief. The ball is bouncing off Gallagher like he’s got 50 pence knees, shins and thighs. If he did then the 3 quid that that equates to is still too much for him. Abysmal. Our record on SKY just gets worse and worse. A further annoyance of these recent defeats is that every one has been by a goal...this always leaves an element of hope...it also means I can’t turn it off early and be free from this torment.

Yeah. How many decent permanent signings has he made in 4 years. 3? Armstrong, Dack and kaminski.

An advert on ESPN+ just said 'God Help Us All'' - obviously a Rovers fan

Not sure even God at centre back would have been enough to save that unholy mess of a first half...

We'd have needed the entire holy trinity replacing our front three, perhaps with Jesus Saves in goal for the penalty.

Problem is (and it isn't Dack's fault) he's playing 20 yards ahead of Trybull and Buckley most of the time.  That leaves us with a two-man midfield and Brentford are skipping straight through it.
