You’ve made it quite clear you are more than happy for Mowbray to continue as Rovers manager.

Your opinion on him is now moot, I’m afraid.

Stuart, my opinions are clear on Mowbray and that he needs to be replaced as manager.

How many more times Stuart?

My opinion isnt moot at all.

So you aren't renewing Stuart?

A big No from me.

I would not even consider buying a single ticket for a game even if we drew Burnley or Man Utd in a cup game. There is too much rot that we need to get rid of and I do not want to be paying into the coffers to help support that.  I consider that my duty as a fan.

STOP THE ROT!

Waggott always like to say how important season tickets are to the clubs finance yet the season has ended and not a mention of season tickets. Renewal details have already been put out by the following Championship clubs from this season, Bournemouth, Barnsley, Bristol City, Cardiff, Brentford, Coventry, Huddersfield, Luton, Millwall, Forest, Stoke, Swansea,  Watford, Wycombe and also at newly promoted Peterborough. It's the same thing every summer be it season tickets or budgets we are always behind the curve.

Rules announced so far from Monday are :-

No away fans

10,000 in large PL stadiums.

4,000 otherwise

Puts us at 4000 and no away fans.

Add in the Covid passport and matchday testing and they will be queuing up on ticketmaster to watch Mowbray's men for £500.

It won't affect us as it will all change again on June 21st, and we won't be playing before that.

EFL spokesman Trevor Birch is optimistic the season will start with full capacity available at the grounds

Does that include Ticketmaster's £50 booking fee?

The local lockdown rumours will play right into Waggot's hands in regards to releasing ST details.

Not too dissimilar a situation to last season. A proper CEO would keep fans engaged. Last season it looked probable we weren't going to be able to attend and the Club needed a membership scheme at a nominal fee with some sort of gift, benefit or reward attached to keep people engaged signed up and on board. We could always have upgraded the membership to a ticket had the time arose. Instead we inexplicably waited until it looked like we DEFINITELY wouldn't be able to attend and then put prices up by up to 25% thereby reducing the season ticket base from just short of 10 k to a paltry 2.5k.

This season it looks likely we will be let back in and it looks unlikely the demand for ST'S will massively out strip supply even at a quarter capacity. No harm whatsoever in putting them on sale on a first come first served basis. If the Government do a bottle job yet again and things go tits up on the relaxation of restrictions front  it shouldn't be too onerous a task to decide what concessions people who have already bought season tickets should have.

Waggott seriously worries me. If you wanted to plant a mole in the Club to deliberately get every decision wrong, run the Club completely into the ground and ultimately take it into administration you couldn't be doing a better job.

Sale Sharks did this. They wrote first to those who had 19/20 season tickets and asked if they wanted

a) an immediate refund

b) to carry the remaining ST value forward against future tickets

c) to donate the remainder of their ST value to the club.

They then set up a membership scheme where for £90 we all got this season's shirt and a scarf. We also got priority on tickets for matches that were possible to play with crowds. Hence huge uptake for the 2 remaining matches in the league. Fans are happy and stay connected. Ticket office chief organised watchalongs Friday nights whilst league was suspended. People all sat down in their own homes watching streamed match of her choice. All Sale wins, some going back a few years, of course but all about keeping supporters and club united. None of it big stuff but someone had sat down and thought, what can we do to engage with the fanbase and keep them onside. Perhaps they should have got more players involved. They have trouble staying onside at the best of times! Seriously even some of the players got involved and chose their favourite matches too.

Then, during European cup weeks, Sharks, who'd been knocked out by La Rochelle, organised the Olympics and put it on Twitter. 10 players, 5 days, 5 events. Dizzy kick, egg and spoon race, hula hooping, steady hand game and medicine ball throw. Great to see Faf de Klerk is a hula hoop star, whilst Ross Harrison, the front row, was the only one to put the ball between the posts whilst dizzy. It was a laugh done to break up training when there was no match at the weekend, but shows the kind of imagination Rovers are lacking across the board.

I'm not a rugby fan at all but great post gumboots.

Perhaps their CEO is on 600k p.a. we can't expect ours to come up with anything imaginative like that for only 300!

Which is why the problem remains with the people who appointed Waggott in the first place and who are happy for him and Mowbray etc to continue in position.  No wonder the owners are happy to keep them in position to attract all the flak and take it off them.  If the owners didn't like the job he was doing they could remove him - in the same way they've done with other administrators they've employed.  Clearly they must be happy with the way things are going or they would act.

Don't understand your post Parson, are you claiming the flak he is getting is unjustified, therefore he is doing a good job shielding the owners from it?

Edit: Even if that's not exactly what you meant, get in a really good manager and a half decent CEO and we'll do a lot better than with Mowbray and Waggott irrespective of the owners.

I thought you would also be pragmatic enough to realise that whilst we are losing the thick end of £20m p.a. having owners who are seemingly wealthy enough to cover it without batting an eyelid does have its advantages albeit we are where we are due to their poor decision making in the past.

We are where we are and can't change what has happened in the past, that doesn't mean we have to be happy with it though and we can only try and influence things going forward.

My point Rev, is that they are still making the same mistakes as they did ten years ago.  They may well stump up another £20m p.a. for the next ten years and we will be no nearer the Premier League than we are today.  They've been changing managers and CEO's for a decade and we are still light years away from where the club was when they bought it.

Yes we need change at every level but that isn't going to happen until those at the top - in India - start to get their decision making right and from what I can see there is no sign of that happening.

PS - Hope you and the family are keeping well during these difficult times.

It is alleged that Mowbray selected Waggott. What then?

If a manager ingratiates himself to the point that fans will trust him no matter what, and in parallel the FF endorse Waggott’s pricing and other initiatives, then why wouldn’t Venkys?

In any event, who exactly would do the firing of either of them and how? By fax?

It took Singh and then Senior to make changes previously and before then Shaw/Agnew - at least the latter had to face the shame of their actions/inactions locally (my God, right now they seem like saner times). Singh was only ever a temporary advisor and Paul Senior resigned so if Senior had dug his heels in who would have removed him? It seems patently obvious that Venkys are not running the club but want to do everything by proxy.

How likely are we to see them employ someone above Waggott? I’d suggest not, so it appears we are stuck with Mowbray (man of dignity and honour) and Waggott (a man who has by his own admission already “done everything we can”) until they see fit to leave.

Yes Venkys could change, much in the way a leopard could change its spots, and decide to get more involved. Desai could travel over and personally remove them both, but in the meantime we are watching the club suffer while thousands of fans have walked away.

And somehow Mowbray and Waggott are still held harmless!
