Is he? Sort of get Kaminski, but with Ayala, Lenihan, Dolan, Armstrong and one or two others not playing, doesn't seem logical not to get 45 minutes under their belts.

Maybe we are keeping away any risk of Armstrong jeopardising a transfer away by pulling up. Maybe we wont sign anyone until he goes.

This is what I was thinking, as well. Don’t risk him, if Rovers are close to making a deal on him.

Yes Crooke said before.

Is Dolan carry a knock according to.reports?

If we were keeping Armstrong away from any risk of jeopardising a transfer why has he spent the full week in the training camp?

Covid and Brexit.

Not an excuse for not at least being able to get a set out for the team's use imo.

Covid and Brexit haven't suddenly sprung up out of nowhere since the kit deal was signed. If you can't deliver, don't sign the deal.

What next, no kits on general sale until Christmas "because of Covid"?

Not saying his absence today is a sign he's off per se, but even if there were a move in the offing he'd have to get fit for the new season somewhere wouldn't he?

Why on Earth did we not just let this bloke leave? One good game in 6-7 and he’s now a year older.

probably because he`s easy to manage, quietly content to pick up his wages and certainly no demand on tony`s management, the better the player the more he wants and demands to improve, anathema to tony, who`s training regime is by all accounts a pretty easy enviroment

An ally in the dressing room for Tone now Bennett and Downing have gone possibly.

Won't be much use in that respect if he's always out injured though.

And so it begins, the whole "support the team" rhetoric. How is the atmosphere according to anyone there?

For what its worth, I dont agree with anyone not attending trying to lecture those who do attend either way. Ive not attended today and would never tell those who have to either give stick or dont.

Ah, our old mate Dan - Mowbray's chief apologist, no surprise there.

I don't really understand why stick aimed specifically at Mowbray should affect the confidence of the team, surely they are able to differentiate between stick aimed at them personally and that aimed at the manager?

The worst player I’ve seen in a rovers shirt since Lowe, would rather have kept the 45 year old downing.

Slightly harsh, has signs of ability, just umpteen years past his sell by date.

Think he's well behind Evans and Bennett in the crapness stakes. No way whatsoever he should have been offered a new deal though.
