how can Davenport start ahead of Rothwell is beyond me...

Simple.

Rothwell's white flag performance against Fulham.

Davenport's 90 minute performance against Sheff. Utd.

Rothwell is our most creative player when he can be bothered, but Mowbray challenged him to play a more hard-working, committed, senior squad member role in the 2nd half against Fulham, and Rothwell was unable or unwilling to even try to contribute a single run or tackle in the whole 50 minutes.

Talent on its own is not enough.

more likely he won`t sign a new contract and will be off,no point picking him, full marks to mowbray

Nyambe having a shocker. Slow, clumsy, error prone and now a foul throw. Now a cynical foul and yellow card. He's not interested!

Davenport having a good game so far, with some cruching tackles.

Bristol threatening with their attacking play - just missed an open goal! Feck!

We don't have an answer to their long throws / direct balls in. If we go behind I can;t see how we would get back in at this point.

Not sure why their player didn't get a yellow for fouling Buckley, then kicking his boot away,

FEEECCKK

1-0

We're looking poor against 18th placed Bristol.

Standard rusty Rovers after an international break.

Bristol mostly threatening from set pieces, but they're getting enough opportunities that it's a worry.

Edun and Davenport have been our best players so far. Poveda and Khadra look lively but it's not come off for them just yet.

Nyambe having a poor game.

I'm sorry to break it to anyone not watching but we're back to being a bit crap.

I suppose if this more disappointing performance continues for 90 minutes, we will be more prepared to accept changing the team to match the opposition in future.

We just can't keep the ball, and are inviting pressure.

This is why we are mid-table mediocrity.

Edun is not good enough at the moment. Pickering back soon.

Neat and tidy on the ball and much more defensively sound.

In this formation you're choosing between Buckley and Rothwell really.

Davenport never makes two good games in a row. I would have started Ayala and a refreshed Rothwell after a long international break.... well see we are 1-0 down now...
