Blackburn lads who played for rovers

I was idly thinking to myself the other day, what players have turned out for rovers who were hometown lads. I'm more interested in players from yesteryear, rather than the modern era. 

All I could think of was

Bob crompton 

Bryan Douglas

Harry healless

Fred pickering 

 

 

Any more?

Both Great Harwood born, and Derbs was at Darwen and Great Harwood before joining Rovers aged about 17.

Surely Darwen and Great Harwood would count as being Blackburn?

Basically anything past Rishton would be Accy.

Paul Gallagher and Matt Derbyshire both went to my school, Our Lady’s, so they count for me!

(Gally was born in Glasgow but his family moved to Blackburn as a young kid).
