v Bristol City (h) - 12/3/22

It really is games like this, with stakes like this, where leaders step forward. This team are desperate for one of the attackers to take responsibility on their shoulders and force a goal. Rothwell invisible, Buckley a liability, Gallagher totally useless.

This is as frustrating as last seasons drivel.

Rovers getting forward more but at the same time very poor. Too many passengers, too many players being asked to do things alien to them, not enough managerial nouse to change things.

Absolutely dreadful going forward.

As dreadful as anyone sane would imagine having two midfielders and Sam Gallagher upfront would be.

Rothwell and Buckley and Pickering all dire in that first half

Bournemouth score end of first half .. we really could do with 3 points today.. especially since Bristol City are a poor side

On current form we’re a very poor side in a false position

If it wasn’t for Van Hecke they would have scored in the first 25mins. Maybe even two. We were getting carved.

If we are counting times teams almost got through on goal, we did that too. Getting carved is extreme hyperbole, especially when our defender stopped the chances you mention. They had one early shot in a good spot that Kaminski looked to have well covered. I'd say Bristol showed marginally more ability to actually make chances, but they didn't show any ability to put them away. And the general play was pretty even, probably in our favour. Played off the park is just silly talk, sorry.

Well that was a hard watch.  Now we don't even create.  Best get our left footer on in his best position on the right.  Take a gamble fire Mowbary now go get Biesla.  Liven things up a bit.  So pedestrian today so far.

They look more dangerous than we do.  Better team first half I thought.

Buckley is at least a very talented player when it's going well.

How Gallagher has made it this far in the game is just absolutely beyond me. I just can't envisage him doing anything other than showing himself up in any training drills that would require a first touch.

Time to just accept even when it was going well he wasn't even that impressive, just didn't stick out as bad in a team where no one really did. He's been found out and is doing more harm than good for months. Is it one goal this season? Says it all.

Dolan and Dack on for Gallagher and Buckley/Rothwell.

As others have said; Dolan wins MOTM then gets dropped - madness.
10 games unbeaten with Sam Gallagher not starting a single one. 8 games with 1 goal and Sam Gallagher started in most of them!

Let’s not forgot Gallagher goal…nice finish yes but it was gifted to him by an defensive error…there was a time Gallagher was at LWB in this game…get in the box man!!!!!

This is what we keep seeing week after week. Mind numbing ideas from the manager. It’s a farce! We haven’t scored enough with this setup across a massive amount of games now.

Are we really expecting the goals to start coming without any kind of change?

The playoffs certainly don’t allow for that kind of passiveness. Sorry to say it but we absolutely do not have what it takes.
