Fair play to Big Sam and Phil Thompson for saying it as it is. The more people in the game that speak up, the better.

That initial reaction from Thompson of "Are they still in charge?" is a common one found amongst football fans who haven't seen us much since relegation. People tend to be exasperated that they are still here and are still messing things up.

It the whole incident that shines a dodgy light on Venkys, Anderson and the FA.

That period cost us the 15 years of being well run club, and no-one has ever been accountable for what happened. The truth has always had to be cobbled together with scraps of information. Even now, almost 15 years later, if you dare speak about it it gets deleted. Why? Cos it was in breach of all known rules, and people will have financially benefited because of it.

All 3 of the named parties above would probably want it deleting.

Now you know why ex players and managers don't speak out.

This has happened a few times recently even with some lads who barely got near the first team.

A shame someone like Allardyce, who presumably has plenty in his bank account by this point, won't take on these people in court (if we assume legal threats were issued in this case). You'd imagine there would be some interesting things discussed. 

I suppose it was probably the podcast company who have backed down though, rather than Allardyce himself.
