Clown city i'm now of the opinion the sole reason this pillock got sent to Ewood from India is because they like him and didn't want to sack him because he's useless at everything else. I’d argue that they got the kits so very right last season they were massively popular across all demographics. This season they’ve made a dog’s breakfast of what should have been a home run with the home shirt, the gold one is Marmitey, the green one could have been a classic with the town badge on & all three should have had the gold detail that they are now applying to the shirts having realised the error of their ways. Had they listened to the kit consultation group & launched even half of our suggestions I absolutely believe that the club would have had record sales this season…not just in shirts but in other items too. They are totally tin-eared. 9 Quote

I dont see the attraction of having things like the Wainwright Bridge and Darwen Tower on them at all either. Should have been former players/Jack/Kenny etc. Quote

... Posted Monday at 17:09 Posted Monday at 17:09 (edited) Just a small detail and gesture we've overlooked was the parting silverware given by Old Etonians along with a framed picture, thought that that was a wonderful token of how far back we both go. So hats off to them recognising the milestone, and hope Rovers return the gesture at some point in history. See these are the things English football are built on. (I know it was a friendly) milestones, historic occasions, make me so sad to think back in black and white to look at the state of us now. Edited Monday at 17:10 by ... 1 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted Monday at 17:24 Moderation Lead Posted Monday at 17:24 We just can’t manage stock levels at all, can we? Sounds like we’ve got too many other shirts, but in previous years we don’t have enough and run out too quickly. More evidence of amateur hour down Ewood way. 1 Quote

Gav Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago You know what has struck me about the celebrations and all the hype around the players coming back? To my knowledge, nobody has spoken out against the regime. You listen to the interviews, all the warm words, but nobody hammering the owners. Is it more important to have a few free tickets a season, than to protect this club and its fans? So disappointing, an opportunity missed. 4 Quote

Our own 'fans' don't do this so why would a load of ex players who have very little to do with the place anymore. Edited 18 hours ago by Upside Down 1 Quote

Just playing devil’s advocate here, but if I were a professional player at Rovers earning a substantial salary, having meals prepared for me, enjoying top-class facilities and a great changing room I’d probably be so deep inside that bubble that it would be hard to truly understand things from a fan’s perspective. They definitely wouldn't understand the sacrifices fans make to follow the team, whether from a financial and/or time perspective. If the situation were different i.e. say the owners stopped paying wages, players had to wash their own kits and bring packed lunches then maybe they’d feel closer to what fans experience. But in reality, there’s a huge gap between players and supporters. We often assume we’re all in it together, but the truth is, players probably don’t care that much unless something directly affects them. 1 1 Quote
