philipl Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Not seen it but sounds rather comfortable. Shots and XG back up that impression. Quote

Our ball retention and passing was awful. Foxes looked better in possession than us most of the time. How I saw it. Quote

I think he's given the ball away with every touch (bar the 2 goals) Fuck me what a weird take. The half emptiest of glasses. 8 Quote

He kept missing fouls, holding oushing pulling shirt grabbing he missed em all then gives us a foul as we are about to breakaway. Quote
Devon Rover Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago A strong performance, that, leading to an unfamiliar feeling of winning fairly comfortably - and on Sky, too. Several things looking up, well played, Rovers. 3 Quote

Finally someone who sees what I see! Poor lad was stranded in the previous formation and was given no chance to succeed. With the support of a second striker hes been a completely different player and will be a great player at this level and potentially beyond given time. 4 Quote

Bug big win that and goid that ICE man scired again. He can finish with first time shots, all his goals have been snap shots yet he can't trap a ball. Quote

He’s a goal poacher and needs someone to play off upfront Quote

Backroom Popular Post Tom Posted 20 hours ago Backroom Popular Post Posted 20 hours ago Gudjohnsen’s goals have got us 2 wins in a week but the mad thing is with Pears in goal we likely come away with a point at best 11 Quote

jim mk2 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Deserved win, although Leicester should have scored at least 1 despite being awful. How did Toth save that? Great day out for the fans, who were brilliant throughout. Leicester fans silent from 1st minute to the last. Credit to the manager for the half time changes, Hedges making a big difference in shoring up the threat from their Number 7 It’s going to be a happy journey home. Days like these you have to savour. 7 Quote
RoqueSantaBlues Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago 0.57 is still a good chance, I hate that xG is the term because it actually means the chance quality Quote
roversfan99 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Really important win against a Leicester side seemingly in crisis, and one we won fairly comfortably in the end with a good overall performance. There are concerns in every area still really. Defensively, it still feels like every player is capable of mistakes. Wharton always makes a couple basically every game, McLoughlin is similar, Miller is similar. Theyll chuck their bodies on the line but will give the ball away sloppily or be turned and pulled apart at times. The clean sheet was really important today, incredible save by Toth who is certainly one of our most important players. Its not an issue just in midfield, more so an issue with technical ability across the team but we really struggle to keep the ball and make simple passes at time. And in the final third, too often the quality is lacking. The 2 strikers today were much better though, Ohashi was a pest and the 2 finishes by Gudjohnsen and parts of his general play were really impressive. I do think that the current formation does suit a few of our players but it begs the question, why did we not recruit for it properly? Seems to have been stumbled upon by accident. Alebiosu really is fantastic and suits being a wing back, De Neve (was decent today and surprised he was subbed) suits being a wing back, the defenders probably benefit from a third player and the 2 strikers have question marks as a lone striker but as a pair can pose more problems working together. We do need one or two defenders to come straight into the starting 111, we also have no cover and we have no cover up top too, Gueye isnt a serious option. Was against the idea last season and it would never happen but I wonder if giving a contract to Bamford would be a reasonable idea just to have another decent option. 3 Quote

Some people seem unable to focus on the positives. Shearer himself would have been happy with those two finishes today, especially the second goal. 3 Quote
