if you are winning late on is`nt it better to bring on a competent defender instead of a non league player (which is what deneve is imo) he has`nt got a clue where his team mates are or  where his opposite number is

Well the plan wasn't to play DeNeve as a LB - he was playing in the front 3 with Gueye, pressing from the front (like Ohashi had been doing).

Especially when that none league player screwed up massively literally days ago 🤦‍♂️

After the “effort” last game he should have been left home. An academy kid could track back and take the ball to the corner. He provides nothing at either end.

I wonder what Powell has to do to get a game... plays the same position.

We're fucked aren't we, can barely buy a point at Ewood and even if we're doing well in a game it seems the manager will do his best to sabotage it with shit substitutions.

It's just about scraping together enough points and hoping the cavalry can come and save us post-Christmas.

We'd have all taken a draw at 3pm. Obviously the way it's come about is a kick in the teeth, but that's football.

De Neve twice in the last 5 minutes gave the ball away cheaply deep in their half !

Matt Derbyshire did that years ago and never kicked another for Rovers !

If we're placing our hopes on a post Christmas cavalry, then I'm afraid we're bang in trouble

Absolutely gutted by that late equaliser. I didn’t see us getting anything at all before the match but to concede so late was heartbreaking. According to Bayes / Gallagher, was never a free kick and the lad who eventually put it in the net was offside. Conceding a lot of very late goals and scoring very few ourselves has been an Achilles heal for many years. Love Yuki’s work ethic but his finishing has been really poor so far this season.

It was nowhere near offside but how the linesman saw that as a foul I’ll never know

Rhodes after Leon Best got injured.

Gallagher (laughably).

Laughable is the fact they have  never been turned on, when we are in a good place come January !

I wonder why ?

Two of the above players were laughable , you are right .

Give over Tom.

He’s kept it out but he should be holding that first one

Didn't Gallagher do it against PNE too?

And never forget John Barnes in the last minute to lose the title to Arsenal!

It seems Pickering won't get any time on the pitch unless he's the last man standing. Something very wrong going on there as he's a decent defender against that sort of opposition.

Put him up against Moore towards the end.

Given the starting 11. I thought it was an excellent away performance  spoiled by a fortunate late equaliser.

And the rotten predicatble substitutions.

5 of our best players are currently missing - Wharton, Carter, Tronstad, Cantwell and Toth.

I'm under no illusions that we'll spend money in January.

Who the f*ck are the cavalry?

Yet to remember a season we’ve exited January stronger than we started under Venkys

1st two are never available and god knows what’s going with Cantwell but I’ll be amazed if he wears blue and white in February.

Ill give you Tronstad and Toth though - but wouldn’t call that the cavalry

In the second half Wrexham had 15 shots and an XG of 1.74. So the other teams they’ve played must have been really shit. Gallagher and Bayes also apparently thought this was offside.

In all honesty we did play really well until he took Gudjohnsen, Ohashi and Morishita off.  Then we got absolutely pummelled. And it happens almost every time we make subs in games.
