In response to messages re TV that the system won't let me quote...I was of the understanding this is a rescheduled sat 3pm game and therefore couldn't be shown on sky sports + but you're right, it is now showing on the schedule

That is usually the case.

Last seasons rearranged game against Portsmouth wasn't shown on Sky.

Hope to god we win tonight to remove any possible controversy, we'll never hear the end of it from Ismael and Club apologists if we lose and end up going down by less than 3 points.

His get out of jail free card for the rest of the season gift wrapped to him in a bow potentially.

We’ll be the unluckiest side in footballing history to get relegated if we do go down. We would have won every game this season according to Ismael if it wasn’t for those pesky officials.

What's the other one you're referring to?

(Imo) The fact that it was apparently a majority decision but a large number of the panel abstained.

On the other hand:

a) We should have maintained our drainage facilities properly over the years  and/or taken additional measures for this particular fixture given the forecast

b) We could (should?) have appealed but chose not to

c) There's nothing stopping us going out and winning the game again.

Karma's a bitch sometimes but if we lose tonight that should be the end of it, and I hope we don't hear any whining about it from anyone at the Club going forward or heaven forbid if the worst comes to the worst.

Should be a good match

we need to stop the losses at ewood and start some momentum

Pratt is an exciting revelation

the players will be motivated for justice

heart is saying we win 1-0 with ice man continuing his form

………. Saying all that however we will probably lose 0-2

I just checked the Skysports Scores app and it brought up all the stats, lineups etc from the abandoned game.

------------------Toth

Alebiosu----Miller---Wharton---Riberio

-------------Tronstad--TGH

Morishita-------Cantwell------Hedges

-----------------Ohashi

What we're likley to start with tomorrow:

----------------------Pears

----------Miller----McLoughlin---Pratt

Alebiosu-------------------------------Hedges

-----------------TGH-----Forshaw

-------------------Morishita

-------------Ohashi--------Gudjohnson

Feels like a much weaker team we're likely putting out tomorrow night, albeit, it's noted that we've had more success playing a back 3.

Thanks for doing this comparison

jeez when you think our squad couldn’t get any weaker!

Think of it from the players perspective they're gonna be pissed too at the decision.  The game was won if this doesn't fire them up tonight and get their legs moving then I don't know what will.

A very gritty 2-1 Rovers.

(Blue n white shades removed 👌)

COYB!

Yea happy that Pratt is in. Gives an air of confidence down that side

Can't see anything other than an Ipswich win.

Ipswich will be looking to bounce back after weekend and they are a  very good side, now gelling following players in and out.

There is also an air of inevitability following the infamous abandonment.  Throw in we struggle to handle midweek games, our injury plagued squad and perhaps some 'politics'with certain players and tonight's prospects looks grim.

Ipswich by 3 or 4 goals to 1.

Agreed.

I think we are looking at a comfortable 0-3 win for Ipswich here and the club moaning about the whole thing for weeks on end.

If we lose this game and get relegated as a consequence of losing 3 points from the abandonment, let's be absolutely clear where the blame lies.  The club has known we have a drainage issue for years and apart from tinkering at the edges, has, IMO, done feck all to find a lasting solution.

As some have already posted, don't want to see or hear any whining, gnashing of teeth or bellyaching from club and/or fans.  All will just have to suck it up.

I have just driven past Ewood and there are no TV trucks parked up although I don't know how many vehicles they usually have for red button matches.

I wonder if Ismael will throw caution to the wind tonight and chuck Baradji in from the start?

Doubt he will. It’s still too early for him to start games. Needs a lot of games to get up to full math fit and sharpness

If we end up losing tonight and go down by 3 points it won’t be anything to do with the cancellation. It will be to do with not gaining enough points in the other 45 games. The fact remains we didn’t beat Ipswich, we were beating them, the 3 points weren’t secured and the abandonment was in large part due to inadequacies of the drainage systems at Ewood.

whilst the club will dine out for months if we lose, the fact is losing at home to Birmingham, Norwich, Swansea and Sheff Utd will be the reason we’re relegated, not the debacle against Ipswich.

He desperately needs wins on the board and even more so at home.

Baradji has been identified as an important player for the fateful project.

Never under estimate how much of a risk a desperate manager will take.

They even say "Watch Blackburn vs Ipswich live on Sky Sports+ on Tuesday night" at the bottom of this preview here - https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13450658/blackburn-vs-ipswich-the-championship-match-being-controversially-replayed-after-september-abandonment?utm_source=chatgpt.com
