There was an unnecessary long ball from Miller to no one in the build up to Ipswich goal. We could had kept the ball rolling with passes.

Apart from him leathering it past Pears he could've literally done anything else bar what he did and we'd have held out.

That's the problem though, isn't it?

They slotted home their once chance of the game because they have that quality on the pitch.

It was mainly because we decided to once again sit back and soak up pressure - maybe that's all we can do with the quality available to us. As soon as Ipswich decided to start playing rather than fall about constantly they actually looked a threat, but I'm sure it's not a coincidence that it coincided with the likes of Taveres and De Neve on the pitch. Is anybody going to ask Ismael why he refuses to give Pickering or Ribeiro - far superior players - any game time? I suppose not, as they'd probably get banned.

Nah, he'll have said "stop switching off mentally. You've cost yourselves 4 points in the last 2 matches because you can't keep your concentration for 95 minutes. Enough."

He needs to have a word with himself.

He's been like this at his previous clubs according to their clubs fans.

“Undeserved” and “Unfair”. Story of our season.

This team is going down.

If I was a neutral I dont think id fancy us to go down with our results and performances.

No point blaming the ref, once again we had a game won and once again threw it away.

4 minutes was a conservative amount of added time and we should have comfortably got through that.

A point more than we had but 4 points thrown away in 2 games.

I mean they did play 50 extra minutes with 11 men. I'd say the ref had a big influence on that result.

7  costing us 7 points, with those we’d be 1 point of the play offs.

With Rudy Gestede still kicking his heels in France somewhere, just imagine where we would be!

I think we'll just about scrape by, but we're bloody unlucky at times, get nothing from the refs and clearly only have about a 15 man squad.

I’d find a lot of value in betting on us going down with this many late conceded goals, if I was a masochist

We're lucky to score one goal a game, concede late goals for fun and can't win at home. I'm not sure why you wouldn't include us in that conversation.

He doesn't set us up well defensively.

Everyone cuts us to ribbons on the counter. I'm amazed he's an ex-CB.

But all that is unknown, we may not have scored against ten men.

What we do know is we were 1-0 up going into injury time and conceded again, that’s on us.

Control the controllables!

Ismael...leave the fucking side alone, stick your subs up your arse man!!!

Think he brings subs on to give them game time. Useless man.

We’re not blessed with options, I’ll give Ismael that, but for the love of God, STOP bringing on Gueye and De Neve. They’re a pair of useless, lazy tossers who perform terribly every single time they take to the pitch. It’s hardly bloody rocket science to see that they’re having a negative impact week in week out.

That wasn't luck, it was the arrogant prick in the dugout thinking that repeating the same mistake over and over will somehow yield a positive result.

Just seen the replay of that last minute. We get the corner , get 3 men round the ball  and Gueye plays it off one of theirs for another corner. Ref gives a goal kick and the rest we know.

What with the red card and that last minute fiasco you just wonder if we are cursed somehow this season

Ipswich are the luckiest side to have come to Ewood in a long time.

Outplayed and losing the initial game; rage quit and rematch.
Outplayed and should have been down to 10 men in the rematch; equaliser with the last kick.

Standard of officiating was beyond horrible, even by EFL standards.

They were really poor and won't be anywhere the top 6 come May.
As for us, we need to learn how to see games out. 4 points dropped in 3 days due to last-gasp equalisers.

Tbh we were managing quite well, quite comfortable. We were not getting overrun.

Conceded from the left side though, when you take Hedges out (think he was injured) we become so much weaker down the left.

Overall given the squad and injuries we have the performance was impressive.

We have two actual left backs on the bench though! Why are they even in the matchday squad if they’re not going to be used in this exact scenario!

If you’re going to drop someone in for the last 10 minutes for Hedges it goes Pickering, Ribiero, a random bloke in the Jack Walker, then De Neve.

As others have said, it’s like they’re trying to justify the transfer policy by only playing Gestede players.

EDIT: Pickering not even in the squad, point still stands re: Ribiero

Ipswich were so poor that we should have been at least two or three up. Whilst I agree the ref was an absolute disgrace tonight, with a better team we simply aren't going into injury time needing to once again cling on to victory. What we're seeing is a curse - the Venky curse.

I wouldn’t blame the subs. I think we should’ve dealt with the long ball better. It’s just incredibly unlucky and undeserved.

As a defender you never want to run towards your own goal with the long ball over the top. But we invited pressure on ourselves and with our recent history of conceding late it's getting increasingly tough to ride the pressure off.

Some really good performances have turned into heartbreak this season, but when you look at tonight's game how many times did we really threaten Walton? Ipswich looked as comfortable as we did against QPR; shit all night but not too troubled.

Positive that we're looking a lot better on set-pieces. Need to sign bodies in January.
