would cost a fortune to cover the whole pitch, pasha would probably faint if he got  the quote😷

nothing short of investment in the pitch and drainage will solve the issue,as it`s midseason there is`nt a chance that will happen at the moment, better stand by and watch us get fined or ordered to move the game if it carries on,imo we are a professional club in name only,it`s an amateurish merry go round behind the scenes, bloody chorley are better run than we are, they never run out of pies either and they`ve got sky sports in the clubhouse

£17,000 for covers used for cricket (they should be fine?) This would cover an area 100x90metres.

I firmly believe that the owners have absolutely zero interest or knowledge in what is going on at the Club on a day-to-day basis and their little goon in the shadows is quite comfortable with that and running things as his own kingdom in their absence.

I would be amazed if any of the owners were aware we were playing yesterday, or that the game was abandoned, and much less that this is a direct result of their conduct over many years.

IF the club was to be fined by the League for this then all that will happen is the henchmen from the finance team and Suhail will have to juggle the numbers again, probably cut the transfer budget or wage bill or offload a player in January to cover it from the club's own resources. Owners won't find out about it. No way is he going to ring them up and ask them to cough up extra cash.

On it goes.

They tried to solve it by bolting on a lump of pipe in direction of the river flow.

That sums up everything that happens at this club on and off the pitch and why we are the joke outfit we are.

All leads back to 4 people via one man.

I agree on the owners.

But the bigger worry for me is the people actually left in charge of running the club locally.

Amateurs and non-football people trying to run a club of Rovers' stature.
We've been seeing the impact of this over the years, but we're now at the stage where games are being abandoned due to a lack of action/knowledge/experience/lack of willing to spend money on anything to do with the upkeep of the facilities.

The biggest concern is for the fans who are turning up in atrocious weather to cheer the team on and having to trudge home (some long distances) in the same conditions. They deserve medals.

Those who don’t attend matches really don’t have a clue how it feels but guess they are happy to criticise the club in this unfortunate situation.

I pray that our luck (and the weather) changes soon and we begin to get the results that some of our performances deserve.

I attend and I’m happy to criticise ‘the club’ as those running and owning it deserve it, and there’s no issue in those that don’t go doing the same. Nothing unfortunate about it and it has got to the stage where it feels like they are embarrassing this grand old institution on what seems like a weekly basis.

Given the current situation and the awful weather we are having what do you expect to happen? Postpone all home games? Play them all away?

I believe It was known that a full pitch rebuild was not done when the stitch pitch was laid presumably for cost reasons. The current situation is not ideal and needs addressing but that will have to be done in the summer.

Of course we aren’t happy with the owners and stooges but it’s not going to get them out of the club I’m afraid

We obviously are where we are as half way through the season and I expect, as always,  they’ll just try and muddle through (and hope that rare metrological phenomenon ‘rain’ holds off on match days).

But do they deserve all the opprobrium that comes their way in the meantime? Yes.

The problem is that it isn’t particularly awful weather. It’s just typical winter up north weather.

We now have a 'rainy season' apparently.

Used to just be winter and a pretty wet part of the world to begin with.

Here's my solution:

Club statement tomorrow from the owners or at least the boss at Ewood:

'We want to apologise to our fans, players, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town and the League. What has happened twice this season is unacceptable for a club of our stature and we have a responsibility to take action to ensure it doesn't happen again.

We are employing specialists to immediately investigate and report on the issues and remedial work that can be completed both in the immediate future and at the end of the season to resolve this issue.

As a gesture of goodwill all fans turning up to the replay will get a free drink/pie/chips and ticket holders for the original game will get free admission for the replay.

Tickets otherwise will be £10 anywhere in the ground.

This club and our fans deserve better and we apologize for the embarrassment this has brought and to the players for their wasted efforts'

That took me 2-3 minutes. Yet it's far more than this lot will do.

to much for pasha and the pound counters to spend, they`de claim they can`t afford it on the issue that it`s not value for money and won`t get used often enough,

I've always been a big believer in communication; at times like this, silence is probably the worst thing you can do.

Be honest, open and have a plan.

All of those things are gaping holes at Ewood these days.

Funny if it was local weather that got them out.

Despite all the fanfare of the so called coalition, have all the non Venky apologists finally been worn down into begrudging but supine acceptance?

Down the ...

It would have to be contained then pumped into a tanker or the river further down from the ground.

Suhails eyes have already welled up at the prospective cost.

Those fans want the best for the club and the fans going/not going, same as you. Its not acceptable for people to be let down because of under funding from the club, who knew they needed to do something.

You dont deserve a medal. Respect, yes. Its the club that let the fans down, (like yourself) not the other way round.

As for not having a clue how it feels, do me a favour. The feeling is all to familiar.
