Decided earlier to watch this from the comfort of my sofa after all the uncertainty. If the club had bothered to communicate earlier in the day or yesterday I might have made the effort to get down. Instead I had already talked myself into a takeaway, cans and watching it on the tv in front of the fire.

I think you’ve made the right choice.

I don’t want to but out of a misplaced sense of duty, I will be there to support the XI that turn out in blue and white shirts. I imagine it will be the lowest crowd for a league fixture for many years and the way it is going, I can’t see anything other than an Oxford win and another utterly miserable night for Blackburn Rovers supporters.

Take a mop in case.

Well I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I'm expecting a flood of goals tonight.  We will sweep away the opposition and their hopes of getting anything from the game other than a damn good thrashing will have been flushed down the drain by half time.  In the second half, the Rovers tide will once again be unstoppable and, unless another freak tropical monsoon hits Ewood Park like it did last Saturday, we'll be floating free of the relegation zone by 10:00 pm.

Hope all those going have a splashing time.

The mighty Oxford United will probably do a job on us tonight.

The conditions are perfect for a reverse.

The omens are stacked against a 'normal' game or result.

The chances are we will capitulate and concede at least once on the night.

O woe is me Rovers 0 Oxford 2

Oh how did that happen? Rovers 1 Oxford 4

Oh not another reverse at home, surely Shirley..? Don't call me Shirley Rovers 0 Oxford 1 (95th minute own goal).

Feck it. COYB

This has home defeat written all over it. A repeat of the QPR experience for fans. Will probably be a monsoon just after we lose. The club kind of deserves what it gets.

It's going to be a record low attendance tonight, surely.

"Officially" no, as folk like me will be counted despite sat 50 miles away in front of my TV and the fire.

In reality, then yes it could well be.

We're now the laughing stock of the Championship with Oxford United now having a laugh at our expense.

This lot and Wrexham non league regulars when our owners turned up.
