  1. I'd rather he looked himself in the mirror instead of blaming someone else for his own failures. Wharton's attitude is typical of the modern footballer.
  2. If that is Wharton's attitude then perhaps he should look at himself, rather than blaming someone who achieved far more in his career than Wharton would if he played for 50 years. Let's not forget last season that manager took us to our highest league position since 2012. Also Wharton hardly banged the door down to get a start last season he was more a hindrance than a help whenever he did play. It's clear that JDT was a shock to the players this wasn't a bloke who spent most of his career in the 2nd division with Middlesbrough. This is a man who has played at the highest level of international and club football, who played for one of the greatest managers of all time at one of the world's biggest clubs. He had very high standards and it seems like that was too much for a number of our feeble minded squad. Also it's all very well blaming the manager for the squad's short comings but they still haven't won a match under the new manager. Some them would be better of looking in the mirror if they want someone to blame. I've seen some poor teams during my time following Rovers but this is one of the softest, most entitled and most unlikeable that I have seen.
  3. If you think I don't criticise The owners or CEO then you are very much mistaken. None of those are signing the players though, we are in a relegation fight and had a paltry budget in January I just think that if Broughton was going to spend money on a player it would have been useful to spend it on someone who can play a big part in that fight against relegation. Broughton is a symptom of the owners and like many of those employed before him (and the current CEO) is a chancer who is massively out of his depth.
  4. Another damning indictment of Broughton. We are in a relegation battle and our only cash buy in January needs protecting.
  5. All this bollocks about time on the training field as though he has some wonderful style of football that is difficult for players to adapt to. The football is about as basic as you can get, as I said the other day Eustace is a pound shop Tony Pulis.
  6. Eustace does appear to use White Hart Lane in 2012 as a blueprint to set his team up. 29% possession at home to Plymouth is utterly embarrassing.
  7. He strikes me as another Appleton. He has come into a struggling team and is totally out of his depth as to how to turn it around. I was sceptical about the appointment when it was made and I have seen nothing to win me over yet, everything about him seems uninspiring.
  8. I know you believe everything the club says so here is a snippet from the announcement regarding Eustace's appointment about the Stoke game.
  9. It wasn't just the Wigan game whenever he played in his first two seasons he looked dreadful and the Wigan game was just the final straw. But he improved massively last season and continued to go from strength to strength ever since. He is now without a doubt our undisputed number 1.
  10. Hard to believe that was the same group of players that played at Birmingham and Cardiff on the previous two Tuesdays. Pears' growth continues he really is completely unrecognisable from the goalie who played when we went out at Wigan 2 years ago, Markanday finally looked like the tricky pacey player I hoped we had signed 2 years ago. Also first look at the Liverpool lad and he looks like he's got all the attributes to be a good defender. The players set a standard tonight that needs to be the standard for the rest of the season starting with Swansea on Saturday, it's no good playing like that tonight against Newcastle and then losing at Swansea and potential being 1 point of the drop.
  11. That Burnley keeper is terrible and yet they keep picking him. Can only assume it because of the crazy sum of money they paid for him.
  12. Thought Gent played well and no sooner had he gone off Celtic scored two goals from down his side.
  13. Sheffield United and Burnley have to be two of the very worst teams in Premier League history.
