  1. 5 part true crime documentary on Sky Crime - Murder at the cottage - starts off slow, but ends up being very good. On the same channel, if anyone hasn’t seen The Jinx, it’s a must for true crime fans, just unbelievable, with the murderer playing a staring role throughout the documentary and that’s not a spoiler.
  2. Great to see live cricket on BBC tonight, this will be followed by The British Lions playing Japan on C4 on Saturday. Sport on free to air Tv, the way forward for me.
  3. You can lead a horse to water den 😉 Please don't ask me to name another Brexit benefit.........
  4. Where would we have sourced the vaccine from den? Under the terms of EU, member states could not buy vaccines from a manufacturer with whom the EU already has an agreement with?
  5. Why didn’t the 28 member states do just that Dom? As not going it alone has cost thousands of lives sadly. Intersting read: https://www.politico.eu/article/europe-coronavirus-vaccine-struggle-pfizer-biontech-astrazeneca/
  6. A clear Brexit benefit from the EU's former Brexit negotiator. Michel Barnier admits UK vaccine success shows it is easier to act alone than under EU ‘bureaucracy’ https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/05/03/barnier-concedes-uk-vaccine-success-shows-easier-act-alone-eu/
  7. Why are EU member states so far behind UK vaccine programme den?
  8. The vaccination program. Being outside the EU has enabled us to have one of the best vaccination programs in the world, that’s to be celebrated.
  9. Danny Murphy analysis - talentless clueless prick, turned it off 😤 Hope his wife’s shoe collection is still going strong. Pair of ****s
  10. John Bercow on sky just said of Boris Johnson: ’He has only a nodding acquaintance with the truth in a leap year’ Brilliant 😀 He was asked if Hancock was useless, his reply: ’Id buy Matt at my valuation, sell him at his valuation and make a healthy profit’ 😃
  11. Super John Bercow 👍 https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/jun/19/john-bercow-defects-to-labour-with-withering-attack-on-johnson
  12. BBC Summary https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/coronavirus Walk-in vaccine clinics are opening in England, in a major push to offer coronavirus jabs to all remaining adults Queues have formed at pop-up vaccination centres at football grounds in London, including Chelsea and West Ham's stadiums A new wave of infections is definitely under way in England, says Prof Adam Finn of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation Labour is calling for workers to have the right to work flexibly before coronavirus restrictions are fully lifted in England A single Pfizer
  13. I’m having to hold back my real opinion on this or I’d get a ban, needless to say she’s talking absolute shite from behind the walls of her mansion in the country. “Some people on furlough are avoiding a return to work because it has been "great" for them, former business secretary Dame Andrea Leadsom has said. She said there were some who did not want to go back because they have a garden, have "great vegetables growing" and have been able to go walking” https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-57531637
  14. I’m not up to speed on this Jim I’ll be honest, but that swing is massive, centred around HS2 I’ve just read and the Tories concentrating on Northern red wall seats and ignoring the Southern seats. Batley and Spen next, hopefully Kim Leadbeater holds the seat.
  15. If that result doesn’t make the Labour Party wake up nothing will, 622 votes, it’s getting worse Jim.
  16. The Lib Dem’s overturned a massive 16,000 Tory majority to with Chesham and Amersham by-election. Labour had the worst by-election result in the party's history, with just 622 votes, yes 622...... https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-57472032
  17. Rishi Sunak on GB news tonight interviewed by Andrew Neil. A real coupe for the fledgling channel and needless to say, Neil tore him a new one!
  18. More trouble with brands adverts being pulled: https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-57483907
  19. As posters have said above, ‘Time’ is absolutely superb, the acting was outstanding and if anyone needed evidence that the prison system is broken this was it. Well worth watching, another gem from BBC filmed in North West.
  20. What absolute bullshit, did you read that before posting it?
  21. The government are following the science, who would have thought it!! The delay is the correct decision, no doubt about that, but despite all the bluff and bluster, we should have locked down the borders 12 months ago, the delta variant is just another example of government incompetence, a pattern emerged a long time ago...
  22. Getting Away from copy and paste for a minute..... If the vaccination program continues at the same pace, a 4wk delay to lifting lockdown would mean that over 90% of people in U.K. would have had 1 dose of the vaccine and over 81% would have had a second dose of the vaccine. That’s so important with a 3rd wave imminent, we need time to vaccinate as many people as soon as possible.
  23. Booing and whistling tonight in St Petersburg on a scale I’ve not heard since players started taking the knee. Surprised it’s not been mentioned reading the last few pages....
  24. These are the people who have been working 70hr weeks throughout this pandemic to try and mitigate the actions of Hancock, Harding, Cummings and this government. Time to listen to the experts in towns and cities across this land Johnson: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57438745
