Blackburn Rovers returned to Ewood Park to try and continue their fine start to the 2018-19 Championship season. However they found themselves in deep water at half time being 2 goals down to a plucky Reading. The visitors scored both goals via defensive howlers by Rovers and they were scored by Bödvarsson. Rovers were hit by a couple of injuries both before the match and during the match, as midfield dynamo Bradley Dack and Kasey Palmer both ruled out, whereas during the match both Adam Armstrong and Dominic Samuel where substituted due to injuries. The 2018-19 EFL Championship continues as Blackburn Rovers take on Reading FC at Ewood Park as they look to continue their decent start to the new season. Rovers come into the match fresh off the back of their first win of the season which took place on Saturday against Hull City at the KCOM stadium. As for Reading FC they have yet to get off the mark in the league, and they come into this match fresh off the back of a defeat to Bolton Wanderers at the weekend. Blackburn Rovers get their first win of the season on the road against Hull City at the KCOM stadium. The only goal coming from Bradley Dack shortly before the half time whistle. Despite that, Hull City edged themselves back into the game towards the final 20 minutes. However Rovers held firm thanks to some fantastic saves from David Raya towards the end. The only concern for Rovers after the match is the health of Bradley Dack who was substituted with a knee injury shortly into the 2nd half. You’ve got to be keen to do this for a 0-0 draw! But I got some good feedback last time, so here goes. There are lies, damn lies and statistics as Disraeli may have said. I was thinking about this after reading the fans comments on the post-match comments for the Ipswich game. I compared the fans’ opinions to the ratings on the whoscored.com website. Apparently Williams was our best player (7.62) and Nyambe the worst (5.82). There wasn’t much correlation! The 2018-19 EFL Championship continues as Blackburn Rovers head back on the road this time to take Hull City at the KCOM Stadium. Hull City come into this match after picking up a a point out of their previous 2 matches. Whereas Rovers fair only slightly better after picking up 2 points from the first two matches of the season. Rovers are also fresh of the back of a 1-5 victory over Carlisle United in the Carabaro Cup, so we will be hoping they bring their goalscoring boots with them to Hull on Saturday. OK this is the kiss of death. We lost every match I did a preview for last season. I have never seen us win at Portman Road- I won't be going so be thankful for small mercies. I am not going to pick Mowbray's staring 11 or bench of18 for him but it looks like it will be pretty identical to last season, give a Palmer, take an Armstrong.
