  4. Utter, utter dross from start to finish. Not a single attempt in the second half. Couldn't care less about the injuries - it's a squad game and an inability to rotate falls on the manager. Put Tony on the Boro team bus back to the North East and leave him there.

  5. Well we've been playing with a false manager for a while so it makes sense

  6. Kaminski, Ayala, Douglas, Travis, one of Johnson or Rothwell, Dack and Arma all START if they’re fit. 7 of the starting 11 out. Keep going lads!

  9. ‘Fantstic result’. Jesus Christ. Mowbray’s men out in force tonight - the dumbing down is well and truly working. We were at home to Boro FFS!!

  10. Embarrassing stuff. Only had to look at the managers before kick off. The 56 year old looking miserable, about ninety, and going through the motions, trying to eke things out as long as possible to top up his retirement fund. The 70 year old who's been at his Club a relatively short time, beaming, bouncing and full of beans and trying to add one more promotion to his already impressive resume. Has no - one told him "a slow build" is the way to go? ?

  11. Are you really being serious!?!? Pears has about 20 games experience in the entire Football League across a 4+ year career. Stergiakis has some 80 games' experience in the Bulgarian top league including Europa games. There is simply no comparison in terms of experience and I would suggest ability (you don't play the number of games Stergiakis has at that level unless you are capable). I think it's clear, Warnock didn't rate Pears and I know whose judgement (versus Mowbray) I trust on a footballer's abilities. Based on his unconvincing appearances for us so far, I think

  12. Lads, if you need any direction on what football men think just listen to O’Neill and dare I say it Cook tonight. Dack, Arma, Trav and Ayala get in any team in that division and are currently ALL injured. No team on the planet could thrive in that situation. I think Kaminski and Rothwell have been as bigger losses as those above based on form this season. Anyone expecting us to ‘crack on’ with those abstractions is dreaming....get 75% of those back and we’ll be a completely different proposition.

  13. The ref was an utter, utter disgrace. Not the first time that we've had a referee of that calibre either.

  14. I don't care that we didn't lose... we were just thoroughly embarrassed live on SKY SPORTS. Abysmal performance. Mowbray out.

  15. That will be a bonus for him. They only got a cup of tea at Southampton.

  16. Pears has something like 24 appearances in 4 years at Boro and his most games have come not even in the pro leagues for Gatesheed. Hardly surprising if he doesn't look the part he's far from it. If he's been brought in now as number 2 it begs more questions about what actually goes through their heads when they think they are improving the back line. Then again nepotism plays a big part in this regime.

  17. This has been the case for well over a year, we will be different if this that and the other happens and it is never ending. If the squad is fully fit, if Dack comes back, if we take our chances, if we fix the defence, if our 12m duo stop impersonating clowns. Do you genuinely think we will be near the play offs? There is no evidence at all, its all baseless hope. You also said that Gallagher and Brereton needed to step up this season. Surely tonight was the perfect chance to step upand highly frustrating and worrying that they were again so out of their depth? Rothwell has barely ev

  18. Special mention for Gallagher tonight, didn’t do a thing right, not even accidentally. You won’t see a worse performance from any forward in any of the top four divisions. It was embarrassing. Need to see some improvement by Christmas or Tony will be out I think.

  19. Strange how your point of view changes, depending on the result. After we got tubbed at Watford you loftily informed us how no-one in the know or with any football knowledge judged a team on results, you should ONLY judge it on performances. Now we've scabbed a fortunate point at home because Boro should have, but didn't, score 3 or 4, all of a sudden we're meant to be hailing "a fantastic result!".

  22. With a manager like Warnock we would be top two. When will the penny drop with the likes of you and @PaulMani - Mowbray, IMO, is taking us on a journey to nowhere. Tonight we got lucky, very lucky - it was robbery. IMO, we resembled a disorganised Sunday league pub team having no plan, shape or structure - that is down to the manager and coaches. For M'boro, these nights happen in football when you just can't buy a goal for love nor money. I will match any bet you and Paul want to make and say now M'boro will finish higher than Rovers.

  23. Tonight clearly proved one thing without a doubt. We've shit away £12million. Both 'strikers' on for 90 mins and they managed one shot over the bar between them. Gallagher was simply an embarrassment tonight. I don't think he got one pass to a team mate.

  24. Totally embarrassing. Whether players are out injured or not, the 11 out there should at least have a plan, shape and structure. I think we are as disorganised as a Sunday league pub team. Football is a funny game, however, and all we might need is a lucky break - to be on top as much as M'boro have been you have to take advantage. Huge question marks against many of our players after tonight. IMO, Pears makes John Butcher look like Lev Yashin - IMO, a joke of a signing.

  27. Im quite surprised to see a fair few suggest that he doesnt have the required quality, he gets into the team over most of our midfielders on quality. The only 2 question marks surely are the fact that he has only signed now and has missed the games in which we have been short, and also the risk (not helped with a 4 month gap) that age will have got the better of him. If he is the player we had last year he is right up there fighting with our first 11.

  40. It’s ridiculous that we have our 2 star players, first choice goalie, best defender, and best midfielder all injured for this game. After such a promising start we have been absolutely decimated by injuries. I don’t know how you can get good performances out of a team with that many key players missing. At this stage I just hope we can stay within touching distance of the playoffs until we have most players return.

  41. First it’s the absence Darragh Lenihan that’s why we losing then it’s Cause Ayala cause of his groin then it’s Travis then so & so ... No manager is going to have ALL of his players all of the time ... Get on with it Mowbray... he’s just buying time ... all the whilst we droping in the table .... same old story every year ....
