  1. Some pointed questions about Mowbray but overall a pretty disgraceful lack of response from The Forum there who once again have let Waggott get away with absolute murder. The sort of things we needed to know are: Who shelved the Brockhall fiasco Why was it shelved How much money was wasted on the aborted scheme? Are there now plans to upgrade the facilities on the existing sites Did Waggott ever specifically ask the owners to commit to a new £2m stitch pitch or was it his decision not to go ahead Who made the decision that according to SW Mowbray would be s

  2. Thomas Frank hopes Brentford’s promotion helps other clubs to dream There seems to be some words missing from that headline, it should have read... "Thomas Frank hopes Brentford’s promotion helps other clubs to dream, but knows that Tony Mowbray will prefer to lower expectations in a continually transparent attempt at self preservation owing to his own managerial mediocrity."

  3. 1 win in 18 is an excellent return during a once-in-a-century pandemic that affected Blackburn disproportionately, a pitch resembling the Somme Battlefields, an injury list requiring the erection of a military hospital on the DE car park and finances that meant at least 7 members of the first team couldn't afford to eat for most of the winter. Tony continues to do a great job. We hope to win 4 games next season.

  4. Nothing wrong about Brentford in the PL. They have been knocking the doors and deserves their spot. I rather my team to be a little "nasty and niggly" and get promoted than being nice and friendly and stays in the 2nd division. They found a way to get promoted and that's all it matters. Well done Bees.

  5. So no new pitch due to “the economic situation in India” Must be devastating for Venky’s seeing their share price at its highest in 3 years and absolutely dwarfing where it was at when they first darkened our door. Also interesting that Waggott “was surprised that it was felt that the owners were inexperienced after 10 years of owning the club.” For once I agree with you Steve. I’m sick of supposed naivety and inexperience being used as an excuse for their incompetence.

  6. 1. No new training ground. 2. No new Stitch pitch. 3. No fan re-engagement. Plan A - reopen Blues Bar. Plan B - No plan B 4. No new manager. 5. No owner communication until at least 2025 (maybe). 6. No fans consultation meetings. 7. No transfers until after June 30th (maybe). 8. No other business. 9. No hope.

  7. In the LET sounds like Douglas is fishing for another deal here after being released from Leeds. That would really sum up the club atm if he came back. he was utter garbage and is extremely lazy and unadventurous transfer policy. Bore off.

  8. All a very sorry read. - The manager was never ever going, lots of "ITK's" not really knowing what they claimed, or getting duff information. - Absolutely nothing in the way of critical feedback from the looks of it, Waggott and co getting the easiest of easy rides. - A worrying vagueness to the embargo and no guarantee of avoiding it. - Further proof that the statement that Venkys are "willing to sign any cheque" is a load of bollocks. - A forum attendee with clearly an agenda with his comments about moving the training ground. - Again contrary to popular belief,

  10. Congratulations to the Blackpool fans who hounded the odious Oystons out of their club. That was a huge moment in their history and I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if they finished above us next season.

  11. So to sum up my thoughts after reading that… All or part of Brockhall is still likely to be sold at some point but the Academy is still very important. The most vocal FF member (part of the FF since Oct 2020) apparently believes this is “very positive”. The lack of pitch investment is apparently Venkys fault. Low ST sales next season will be the fans’ fault (fear over Covid and “out of the habit”, Mowbray effect not mentioned) They intend to offer some “loyalty” programme to ST holders between 2019-21 - presumably last season’s will get a discoun

  19. According to journalist Christina Patterson, the government knew about the Indian strain of the virus and its dangers back in early April. The government then took two weeks to stop inbound Indian flights, after which the virus took the opportunity to spread itself in the UK. Why does this government fail to act quickly when given information such as this?

  20. We all need to get down to Ewood for the 1st home game next season (no I'm not saying buy a ST, single match ticket will do) & make it quite clear that we don't want Mowbray anywhere near the club! Other than boycotting ST sales it's about our only hope. He's so arrogant I honestly don't think he'd be able to take it.

  22. I'm done now on the basis he's still employed by the club, as are Waggott and Venus. They tried to sell the training ground. Let's not forget that.

  23. One thing that stuck out to me in the fans forum minutes. On the question of fans not renewing. There was plenty of pre-emptory excuses given for a drop in season ticket sales. But no recognition that Mowbray losing the faith of a large part of the fanbase is going to be major factor in renewals.

  24. This is a brilliant new defence of the Tory's - it wasn't their fault because they weren't ready. Apparently its the care home workers who transmitted it, not those going from hospitals to care homes. Now whilst I'm sure this is a factor it's another disingenuous excuse for the government. Firstly there is the odds - what's the likelihood of it coming from a hospital, with Covid patients rather than another care home. Certainly early on the odds surely have to be in the favour (if that's the correct word) of the hospital. For starters if it transfers from care home to care home, it

  26. ….I feel really pleased for them. I remember the day when we marched together, in pouring rain , to share our mutual dislike of our owners….… …..they are rid of their shackles, we are still bound. They are rid of their management…we remain on the journey to nowhere . I actually envy Blackpool and Bolton…. They are clubs reborn …we are either dying or dead….. oh for a manager with the guile and hunger of Critchley

  27. Eventually. I think under this ownership it is inevitable, it's a 100% more likely than any flirt with top flight. At some point they will completely and finally lose interest and slash funding permanently. I think that tipping point might have been reached now possibly. With Covid distractions and this regime wasting the last few years budget pissing around with selfish experiments.

  28. You're right that you haven't said it, but if you're not going to blame the government then you can only blame the people travelling between care homes, ie: care workers. Perhaps if you stopped talking in riddles, you wouldn't wind posters up to the point where your only option is to ignore posters so you can evade their questions at the source rather than just not answering properly?

"We can not compete with teams that have that new owner/ promotion bounce especially when they find a way around our possession precision passing based football by wanting to score more than us, add to that the pressure of a local derby " Tony Mowbray 5.50 pm on the day of the game v Blackpool 🙂 Glad Blackpool won, but wanted it to go to extra time , was a enjoyable game to watch.

  34. You usually like a You Gov poll, strange you seem so keen to disregard the one I posted. It wouldn't have something to do with the fact that it show that 55% of people don't trust Johnson. If you aren't blaming care workers for spreading the virus below (which is what it read's like to me) then would you care to explain who you do think was responsible for the spread? Of course the sensible answer to the question is that it was spread around care homes by transferring untested patients from hospitals to care homes as the governments 'protective ring' turned out to be more of a no

  39. The referees are entirely to blame. The players are just playing the system to maximise their advantage. I tuned in to PSG v City the other week. I tuned out five minutes later because Neymar, the absolute masterclass at acting and screaming in pain, was unbearable to watch. He's supposed to be one of the best in the world. If the referees allow him to do it, the example is then set.

  41. Agreed. We've had enough 30+ year old players here lately happy to play out their remaining years in mid-table of the Championship as they know they aren't good enough to play at a higher level. Avoid.

  42. Who is this bloke on the FF who is trying to push for the training centre to be moved to BwD? Didn't expect much more from the minutes really. A few "we're working on things" and "looking into it" etc etc. Also I thought these owners never refused a cheque according to some?

  43. Chortle! What a pity it will be pished up against the wall of chumps, cronies and journeymen we are supposed to believe are playing for the badge. Having a manager with a track record of dismal failure, a reputation for being asleep at the wheel whilst not giving a fook, and demonstrable skills only in gurning and spouting shite doesn't sound to me like a recipe for anything other than another season of having our heads rammed firmly down the bog. Get the cash for Raya in, but.... Mowbray Out!, Waggot Out!, Cheating Guring Liars OUT!

  45. It seems to be forgotten time and again because of the transfer fee we paid for him, but Ben Brereton only turned 22 a month ago. He has a lot to learn, but still time to develop. We still think of Lewis Travis as a youngster, but he's 18 months older than BB, as is the likes of Harry Chapman. Heck he's only a few months older than Rankin-Costello. John Buckley's only six months younger. I'm only mentioning these as we're talking about young players gaining experience, learning their trade, developing in their game. BB has time to improve. These next years do really need to show his impro

  47. The kind of structure Brentford have - which has produced consistent results year after year and resulted in them ultimately playing in the Premier League for the first time in their history - is so far beyond Venky's that it's depressing to even think about. Compare the dysfunctional mess we call a 'structure' to Brentford's model and it is night and day - the difference between an owner who genuinely wants the club to succeed and owners who are content with just keeping the lights on and paying the bills.

  49. On a serious note the owners are so far missing a trick big style once again here as it's difficult to imagine that any ST launch won't have the feel of a lead balloon if Mowbray, Waggott and Venus are still here. And that's before considering whether or not Waggott will introduce another huge price hike. Just imagine the difference in outlook and new found feeling of optimism were the Coventrio potted, for the sake of argument Hughes or Ainsworth were appointed, and season tickets went on sale a couple of days after that!
