4,000 Holes today celebrates its 33rd birthday, with the first issue of the fanzine having gone on sale before the Sunderland match at Ewood on Saturday 16th September 1989.

Despite the rise of the internet, the fanzine still remains very popular amongst Rovers supporters and the landmark 100th edition in 2020 delved into its lengthy history.

After an 18-month break due to the pandemic, 4,000 Holes returned in August 2021 with four issues eventually released last season. Another five are planned over the next year.

Contributions are always welcome from old and new writers with the next deadline coming in the middle of October - please email roversfanzine@gmail.com
