Stoke City vs Blackburn Rovers - Match Preview - 2018/19

Next up for Blackburn Rovers is another tricky away match when they head to the Bet365 Stadium to take on Stoke City. Blackburn come into this match off the back of a 0-0 draw against Derby County, whereas Stoke City come into this match fresh off the back of a victory against Swansea City. Rovers will hope to have Captain Fantastic back in the lineup after Charlie has missed the midweek match against Derby. In this video we count down to kick off with a look at the current form books of both Stoke and Rovers.  We also have a chat with David Cowlishaw from the Wizards of Drivel podcast. Finally we get a cheeky, if not horrendous prediction from Cass the Cat.  Wizards of Drivel Podcast:

Derby County vs Blackburn Rovers (0-0) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers escape Pride Park with a share of the points as Derby County fail to make all their possession and dominance count in a game that Rovers struggled to get into. In a match that offered very little to get excited about from a Rovers point of view, the only major opportunity that went our way was a Bradley Dack effort that went close. Derby on the other hand, looked a real threat from the off, and were so dominant that Tony Mowbray had to make a mid first half substitution.  Conway was removed with Danny Graham coming on. Rovers did start to impose themselves in the last 15 minutes, but we could not really threaten Derby. However despite the terrible performance, I expect Rovers manger and fans are elated with the result. In this video we hear from the gaffa Tony Mowbray about the result.  Also we get some fan input from both Rovers fan Rob Young and Chris Parsons from the Steve Bloomers Washing Podcast.  All that and much more. Likes, shares and subs always appreciated. Derby County: Carson, Forsyth, Bryson, Tomori, Keogh (c), Mount, Josefzoon (Wilson, 69), Johnson, Bennett (Waghorn, 77), Nugent (Marriott, 79), Bogle. Unused substitutes: Roos, Wisdom, Huddlestone, Malone. Booked: Waghorn, 90. Rovers: Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Williams, Bell, Evans, Smallwood, Conway (c) (Graham, 31), Dack, Palmer (Bennett, 53), Armstrong (Armstrong, 64). Unused substitutes: Leutwiler, Reed, Rothwell, Brereton, Downing. Booked: Williams, 46, Palmer, 48, Lenihan, 90. Referee: Darren England. Attendance: 23,580.

Rovers come into the match fresh off the back of a draw against Aston Villa at Ewood Park on the weekend. Blackburn Rovers vs Aston Villa (1-1) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers returned to league action as they took on Aston Villa at Ewood Park.  Rovers managing to grab a valuable point in the end despite going ahead with only minutes remaining on the clock. The goals came from Bradley Dack for Blackburn Rovers and Conor Hourihane for Aston Villa. Dacks goal was a cheeky wee backheel and Conor Hourihane's was a belter from a free kick. An honest point in the end, in game which could have gone either way.   In this video we hear from Aston Villa supporter Lindsay Williams  about the result, plus words of wisdom from the gaffa Tony Mowbray about the result.  Plus analysis and more. Rovers: Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell, Evans (Brereton, 58), Smallwood (Reed, 66), Bennett, Dack, Armstrong (Williams, 74), Graham. Unused substitutes: Leutwiler, Rothwell, Conway, Palmer. Villa on the other hand come into this match in similar form, as they too lost their last match 4-1 against Sheffield United. Blackburn Rovers vs Brentford (1-0) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers picking up a massive 1-0 victory of high flyers Brentford. Despite hitting the woodwork twice Brentford could not taking anything from this match.  Rovers had limited opportunities in front of goal, as their creative line has been hit with injuries this past week got their noses in front thanks to a goal from loan signing Kasey Palmer. Rovers pressed their opponents throughout the 90 minutes with players such as Elliott Bennett, Corry Evans and new signing Joe Rothwell working tirelessly. As mentioned earlier, Rovers lacked key players in this match with Bradley Dack and Adam Armstrong missing the match through injury. Next up Lincoln in the cup and Bristol City on the road. Later on the channel a more detailed review of the match including words from the gaffa and fan input. In this video we hear from the gaffa Tony Mowbray on the result.  Plus some match analysis and much more. Rovers: Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell, Smallwood, Evans (Travis, 77), Bennett, Rothwell, Palmer (Conway, 69), Nuttall (Graham, 59). Unused substitutes: Leutwiler, Caddis, Downing, Hart. Blackburn Rovers vs Reading (2-2) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers returned to Ewood Park to try and continue their fine start to the 2018-19 Championship season. However they found themselves in deep water at half time being 2 goals down to a plucky Reading.  The visitors scored both goals via defensive howlers by Rovers and they were scored by Bödvarsson. Rovers were hit by a couple of injuries both before the match and during the match, as midfield dynamo Bradley Dack and Kasey Palmer both ruled out, whereas during the match both Adam Armstrong and Dominic Samuel where substituted due to injuries. Regardless Rovers fought back via 2 penalties scored by Cpt Charlie Mulgrew to maintain our unbeaten start to the Championship season. In this video we hear from Marc Mayo from The Tile Hurst End podcast on his thoughts relating to Reading FC, we also get words from the gaffa Tony Mowbray on the result.  Plus some match analysis and much more. Hull City vs Blackburn Rovers (0-1) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers get their first win of the season on the road against Hull City at the KCOM stadium. The only goal coming from Bradley Dack shortly before the half time whistle. Despite that, Hull City edged themselves back into the game towards the final 20 minutes.  However Rovers held firm thanks to some fantastic saves from David Raya towards the end. The only concern for Rovers after the match is the health of Bradley Dack who was substituted with a knee injury shortly into the 2nd half. In this video we hear from Kieran Webster on his thoughts relating to Hull City, we also get words from the gaffa Tony Mowbray on the result.  Plus some match analysis and much more. Still Unbeaten - Ipswich Town 2 vs Blackburn Rovers 2 - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers started their new season back in the EFL Championship with a draw against a revamped Ipswich Town. Despite trailing in the first 5 minutes Rovers took the lead thanks to goals from Danny Graham and the other from Bradley Dack. It was not until the last minute of normal time when Ipswich clawed themselves back into the match with an equalizer.  Bit of a bitter pill to swallow but I would have taken a point if offered at the start of the day. In this video we go over the match in a bit more detail with analysis, fan input and words from the gaffa. Starting Lineups: Ipswich Town: Ipswich Town: Bialkowski, Spence (Woolfenden, 38) , Donacien, Chambers (c), Knudsen, Chalobah, Skuse, Downes (Edun, 60), Edwards, Sears (Morris, 77), Harrison. Goodbye League 1... Hello Championship - Blackburn vs Oxford Match Review

There we have it folks our final match in League 1 and we end out brief stint in the 3rd tier with a win against Oxford United. Thanks to two goals the 1st from Darragh Lenihan (which was his first for the club) and the 2nd was from loanee Jack Payne (also his first for the club).  That was enough to win the match, however we could not stop Wigan Athletic from winning the title. However our next first team match will be back in the Championship so we can all look forward to that. As for the video my final match review of the season, match ratings thoughts from the fans and words from the gaffa.  Dont worry folks we will be back next season. Blackburn Rovers
