Nottingham Forest vs Blackburn Rovers - Match Preview - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers hit the road once again to take on playoff chasing Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Rovers come into the match off the back of a confidence boosting win over Derby County earlier in the week. Forest on the other hand come into the match on the back of a loss to Sheffield Wednesday. Despite that Forest still have slight ambitions to gate crash the playoffs, as for Rovers they seem to have done enough to keep themselves in the division for another season. In this video I preview the match, take a look at the form books and speak with Forest fan Jack Inger who gives me a review of their season. Blackburn Rovers vs Derby County City (2-0) - Match Review

Blackburn Rovers got back to winning ways with a amazing performance against high flyers Derby County, coming with a comfortable 2-0 win at Ewood Park. Rovers hit the ground running and could have scored 5 or 6 in this match had it not been for Derby's strong defense. Β The deadlock was broken however via Joe Rothwell who's first goal for the club was a cheeky chip over the Derby keeper. Rovers added a 2nd right at the death via Bradley Dack who tapped in the final ball after a great build up by Rovers. If Rovers can deliver this kind of performance week in week out we could have a great season on our hands. Β However a bit too late for that. Β As for Derby they will need to dig deep to get their playoff push back on track. Rovers: Raya, E. Bennett (c), Lenihan, Williams, Bell, Travis, Reed (Evans, 90), Rothwell (Armstrong, 81), Dack, Conway, Graham (Nuttall, 90). Unused substitutes: Leutwiler, Nyambe, Rodwell, Brereton. Goal: Rothwell, 76 Booked: E. Bennett, 52, Travis 85 Derby County: Roos, Bryson (Holmes, 65), Tomori, Keogh (c), Wilson, Mount (Nugent, 73), Waghorn (M. Bennett, 52), Lawrence, Johnson, Cole, Bogle. Unused substitutes: Carson, Wisdom, Jozefzoon, Huddlestone. Referee: Jeremy Simpson. Attendance: 12,590 (901 away)

Blackburn Rovers vs Stoke City (0-1) - Match Review

Blackburn Rovers return to Ewood Park but could not break the air tight Stoke defense and ultimately losing 0-1. Etebo the only scorer on the day with a crisp strike that broke the Rovers defense. It could have been much worse for Rovers as Stoke were given a penalty which was saved by David Raya between the sticks. Raya also came to Rovers rescue in the 2nd half and delivered a wonder save to deny ex Burnley man Sam Volkes a goal. Rovers created little and look lost at sea the moment. Β The season can not end quick enough for Rovers who will need to work extra hard in the summer to turn this team into something that can compete in this league. Later on the channel, I will take a detailed look at the match, hear what the gaffa had to say, take a look at Rovers fans input on social media and more. Webpage πŸ‘‰ http://blackburnroverseas.com

Sheffield Wednesday vs Blackburn Rovers (4-2) - Match Review

Blackburn Rovers slipped to another away defeat at the hands of a revamped Sheffield Wednesday. The final score being a mouthwatering 4-2 win for the Owls. Plenty of action within the match which could have seen many more goals, Sheff Wed hit the post in the first half before taking the lead though Steve Fletcher. Rovers on the other hand relied on goals from Craig Conway and Elliott Bennett however it was not enough to get anything out of this entertaining defeat. A bit of break in the Championship comes at a good time for all, especially Rovers as we hope to see some defensive players return from injury in two weeks time. Another positive was the Rovers debut of youngster John Buckley, many more appearances in a Rovers shirt please Gaffa! Rotherham United vs Blackburn Rovers (3-2) - Match Review

Blackburn Rovers lose on the road after a 5 goal thriller against Rotherham United at the New York Stadium. Rotherham United coming out 3-2 winners after takixng an early lead via Semi Ajayi header from a Will Vaulks long throw. The Millers held firm till half time, however Rovers started the 2nd half brighter and leveled the scores through Amari Bell's 2nd goal of the season. However as Rovers do, we could not keep the match level and Rotherham took the lead once again via Williams. Β As Rovers searched to get back into the match Semi Ajayi scored his 2nd goal of the day to put the match out of sight. Β Rovers did have some hope as Charlie Mulgrew scored from the penalty spot in the closing minutes, but it was too little too late. Massive points for Rotherham, whereas Rovers need to tighten up as we could see us sucked into a relegation vacuum.
