Blackburn Rovers vs Brentford (1-0) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers picking up a massive 1-0 victory of high flyers Brentford. Despite hitting the woodwork twice Brentford could not taking anything from this match.  Rovers had limited opportunities in front of goal, as their creative line has been hit with injuries this past week got their noses in front thanks to a goal from loan signing Kasey Palmer. Rovers pressed their opponents throughout the 90 minutes with players such as Elliott Bennett, Corry Evans and new signing Joe Rothwell working tirelessly. As mentioned earlier, Rovers lacked key players in this match with Bradley Dack and Adam Armstrong missing the match through injury. Next up Lincoln in the cup and Bristol City on the road. Later on the channel a more detailed review of the match including words from the gaffa and fan input. In this video we hear from the gaffa Tony Mowbray on the result.  Plus some match analysis and much more. Rovers: Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell, Smallwood, Evans (Travis, 77), Bennett, Rothwell, Palmer (Conway, 69), Nuttall (Graham, 59). Unused substitutes: Leutwiler, Caddis, Downing, Hart. Goal: Palmer, 53 Brentford: Bentley, Mepham, Yennaris, Watkins, Mokotjo (c), Sawyers (MacLeod, 78), Benrahama (Canos, 64), Dalsgaard, Konsa, Barbet, Forss (Judge, 64). Blackburn Rovers vs Reading (2-2) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers returned to Ewood Park to try and continue their fine start to the 2018-19 Championship season. However they found themselves in deep water at half time being 2 goals down to a plucky Reading.  The visitors scored both goals via defensive howlers by Rovers and they were scored by Bödvarsson. Rovers were hit by a couple of injuries both before the match and during the match, as midfield dynamo Bradley Dack and Kasey Palmer both ruled out, whereas during the match both Adam Armstrong and Dominic Samuel where substituted due to injuries. Regardless Rovers fought back via 2 penalties scored by Cpt Charlie Mulgrew to maintain our unbeaten start to the Championship season. In this video we hear from Marc Mayo from The Tile Hurst End podcast on his thoughts relating to Reading FC, we also get words from the gaffa Tony Mowbray on the result.  Plus some match analysis and much more. Hull City vs Blackburn Rovers (0-1) - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers get their first win of the season on the road against Hull City at the KCOM stadium. The only goal coming from Bradley Dack shortly before the half time whistle. Despite that, Hull City edged themselves back into the game towards the final 20 minutes.  However Rovers held firm thanks to some fantastic saves from David Raya towards the end. The only concern for Rovers after the match is the health of Bradley Dack who was substituted with a knee injury shortly into the 2nd half. In this video we hear from Kieran Webster on his thoughts relating to Hull City, we also get words from the gaffa Tony Mowbray on the result.  Plus some match analysis and much more. Hull City: Marshall, Lichaj, De Wijs, Evandro, MacDonald, Irvine, Kane, Bowen (Milinkovic, 72), Henriksen (c), Kingsley (Toral, 29), Campbell (Dicko, 72). Hull City vs Blackburn Rovers - Match Preview - 2018/19

The 2018-19 EFL Championship continues as Blackburn Rovers head back on the road this time to take Hull City at the KCOM Stadium. Hull City come into this match after picking up a a point out of their previous 2 matches.  Whereas Rovers fair only slightly better after picking up 2 points from the first two matches of the season. Rovers are also fresh of the back of a 1-5 victory over Carlisle United in the Carabaro Cup, so we will be hoping they bring their goalscoring boots with them to Hull on Saturday. Still Unbeaten - Ipswich Town 2 vs Blackburn Rovers 2 - Match Review - 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers started their new season back in the EFL Championship with a draw against a revamped Ipswich Town. Despite trailing in the first 5 minutes Rovers took the lead thanks to goals from Danny Graham and the other from Bradley Dack. It was not until the last minute of normal time when Ipswich clawed themselves back into the match with an equalizer.  Bit of a bitter pill to swallow but I would have taken a point if offered at the start of the day. In this video we go over the match in a bit more detail with analysis, fan input and words from the gaffa. Starting Lineups: Ipswich Town: Ipswich Town: Bialkowski, Spence (Woolfenden, 38) , Donacien, Chambers (c), Knudsen, Chalobah, Skuse, Downes (Edun, 60), Edwards, Sears (Morris, 77), Harrison. Blackburn Rovers: Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew (c), Williams, Smallwood, Evans, Bennett, Dack (Conway, 82), Samuel (Palmer, 62), Graham (Nuttall, 68). Goodbye League 1... Hello Championship - Blackburn vs Oxford Match Review

There we have it folks our final match in League 1 and we end out brief stint in the 3rd tier with a win against Oxford United. Thanks to two goals the 1st from Darragh Lenihan (which was his first for the club) and the 2nd was from loanee Jack Payne (also his first for the club).  That was enough to win the match, however we could not stop Wigan Athletic from winning the title. However our next first team match will be back in the Championship so we can all look forward to that. As for the video my final match review of the season, match ratings thoughts from the fans and words from the gaffa.  Dont worry folks we will be back next season. Blackburn Rovers

***BLACKBURN ROVERS PROMOTED*** Doncaster Rovers vs Blackburn Rovers (0-1)| Review | April 2018

Cant believe I never posted this...  well here it sorry I forgot to put it here!  To busy celebrating perhaps!   Amazing scenes at Doncaster as Blackburn Rovers get themselves back into the championship after beating Doncaster Rovers 0-1. Rovers sealed the deal after a floated header by Charlie Mulgrew and that was enough to do it.  Despite some results going their way, Rovers had enough to get over the line. An emotional night of football for Blackburn as we return to the Championship at the first attempt.  It was uber important to get back to championship as I felt we could struggle in this division next year.  But we did it. Thoughts from the manager, the players, the fans and more. Can not believe it! So happy! Doncaster Rovers

Who cares we are going up! Rovers lose! Charlton vs Blackburn Review

Blackburn Rovers suffering a post promotion party hangover as we suffered a defeat at the hands of playoff chasing Charlton Athletic. Mowbray made a vast amount of changes to the lineup giving some 1st team players a break, so no Bradley Dack, Elliott Bennett, David Raya and DG could only manage a spot on the bench. Despite the loss the title decision goes to the wire, and will be resolved on the last match of the season against Oxford where Rovers must win. Some players may have played their last match for Rovers today as the season comes to an end. Thoughts from the fans, the manager and more. Charlton
