Who's That Team They Call The Rovers....

I know Boro still sing "Who's that team they call the Boro" and I think they are the only team I know that still sing it. However I remember it very vaguely from the 80's being sung by Rovers fans and my Dad says it was sang long before that.

If so, what were the words?

just a lookup on yahoo yielded these lyrics for the chant but not sure how they would be twisted for Rovers.

The Georidies went to Rome to see the Pope.

The Georidies went to Rome to see the Pope.

The Georidies went to Rome to see the Pope.

And this is what he said.

Who's that team they call the Boro.

Who's that team we all adore.

Cause they play in Red and White.

And their F**king dynomite.

And we will support Boro evermore

and apparently here is a Luton Town version:

The ****y Watford FC went to Rome to see The Pope

The ****y Watford FC went to Rome to see The Pope

The ****y Watford FC went to Rome to see The Pope

And this is what he said:

"F*** OFF!

Who's that team they call the Luton?

Who's that team they all adore?"

Well, we play in Black and White,

And we're f***ing dynamite,

AND Tony Thorpe's mother is a whore!

She's a whore!

She's a whore!

Tony Thorpe's mother is a whore!

I prefer the version,

Who's that team we call the Rovers,

whos that team we all adore,

we're the boys in blu and white and

we're fuking dynamite,

Steve Cotterill's wife is a whore!

I also think that chelsea sing a long winded version of the song.

Hi,

All you lovely ROVERS Fans out there, please forgive me but i am a virgin writer on the message board so if i do it wrong who cares! just been reading and trying to under stand all the great team songs. i love them all so go for it and sing your bloody hearts out at the next game. as long as Mark Hughes signs a great team of players then we have a good chance of winning Premier league in 2007 can't wait till it all kicks off again. i will be back in Blackburn in September cheering on the lads. LUCAS NEILL IS GREAT!

Cheers and all the best from CAZ, in sunny Australia.
