Diane Abbot to Shadow Home Secretary ,ha ha brilliant , looks like Corbyn has no plans to win an election anytime soon

Most obnoxious woman in politics. I kept expecting Michael Portillo to one day snap and strangle her to death on This Week. Squashed onto about a quarter of that sofa with her listening to that shrill whiney voice prattling on every episode.

Ghastly woman, have a look on YouTube for her roasting by Andrew Neal on the Sunday politics show. She such a massive hypocrite, and for good measure a blatant racist, well done Jeremy, fantastic job.

I agree with the above comments about Diane Abbott. Horrible, useless person. Michael Portillo post election defeat seems to have shown himself to be a fairly decent guy. His TV show about railway journeys is pretty interesting, and he just seems like someone you can have a good conversation with. I was sort of in favour of Corbyn for a bit and felt sorry for him when everyone ran away ASAP. However, he is not a natural leader, and has resorted to the kind of tricks, chicanery and mob rule to attack everyone else in the party. Or at least his hard core supporters and that Momentum have.

Ken Loach has a better article on the same subject in today's " Guardian ".

Interesting little stat about the latest gift to the rich from Saint Teresa the workers friend.

Of the 100 constituencies that will benefit the most from the latest cut in inheritance tax 96 of them are in London or the South East and are mostly held by Tories. Of the other 4 seats one is George Osbourne's Tatton seat in Cheshire. George announced this policy when he was Chancellor - nice one George.

But we are all in this together, that's why we need to have austerity isn't It?

Next thing we'll not be stripping tax dodger Green of his knighthood because he's agreed to put back 1/3 of the money he took out of BHS in dividends leading to its collapse and hole in pension fund.

Of course we're all in it together- see below.

Number of prosecutions by HMRC of " High net worth individuals " for tax fraud in the last five years, described by the Commons public accounts committee as a " dismal record ". ----- 1.

Number of prosecutions for benefit fraud in the last year alone. ----- 5,117.

When the likes of Phillip Green can get away with the type of arrangements in his wife's wiki, it's no wonder he's willing to give back a couple of hundred million  to keep his knighthood;

"

Green's wealth stems from her relationship with her second husband, British retail magnate Sir Philip Green. The arrangement between the married couple (with working-week London resident Sir Philip as the CEO or Chairman of all companies, while Tina Green remains the sole shareholder via Jersey-based Taveta Investments, but resident in Monaco) means that the couple minimise their UK taxation liability.

As a result, Sir Philip has become the target of activist group UK Uncut, initially in November 2010, for his history of corporate tax avoidance. The group targeted Sir Philip specifically as a UK Government advisor.[10] He became the focus of anger over the programme of government cuts that campaigners said could be avoided if tax dodging was stamped out, bringing in some £25bn a year to the public purse and reducing the national debt.

On 4 December 2010, campaigners staged a sit-in at Arcadia's flagship London Topshop store in Oxford Street. In Brighton, a few campaigners glued themselves to the branch's windows. Other high streets in towns and cities across Britain saw similar protests in a day of action against the tax arrangements of rich individuals and big businesses.

Since Taveta Investments is owned by Tina Green, who resides in Monaco, protestors claim that the couple avoid paying £285 million in UK personal income tax, that would be payable if a UK resident owned the company.[11] In November 2005, Sir Philip approved a dividend payout that benefitted his family via Taveta/Tina Green by £1.2bn, paid for by a loan taken out by Arcadia, cutting Arcadia's corporation tax as interest charges on the loan were offset against profits.[12] The payout was the biggest annual dividend payout to an individual by a British company."

Who would have believed that the leader of a socialist party that should be campaigning to protect jobs for the working population, would order its peers in the House of Lords to vote AGAINST staying in the single market? This is where Corbyn is at. The majority of Labour members voted to remain. Corbyn is in fact a socialist chasing a hard Brexit against its members wishes, against its MPs wishes and against its founder principles.

The trouble is Den most of the Labour held seats voted to come out.  The Tories are in the same boat to a slightly lesser degree, they have plenty of MP's who would like to vote against coming out but daren't for all sorts of reasons.

There are plenty of MP's putting personal ambition/fear before their beliefs.

Labour voters as a whole though voted 2:1 to remain.

What Labour didn't do, is get their voters to the booths. Maybe another failure of Corbyns lacklustre Brexit campaigning and woeful leadership.

Corbyn is doing a great job, long may he reign !

He's as clueless as that loon in Scotland. As the Prime Minister said today Sturgeon is obsessed by independence, well let them have independence ! They are skint anyway.

Id say Sturgeon and Corbyn are quite different.

Sturgeon has excellent support within and outside her party, and has lead (with Salmond) the SNP from the fringe to the centre of politics. You might not like her but what she has achieved is remarkable.

Corbyn on the other hand is leading his party from the centre to the fringe sadly, and will go down as one of the worst political leaders of the post war era.

Maybe you want to talk about the Tories stopping housing benefit for young people.

Your point is?

To be honest didn't know the Labour Party was still going.

Never start a sentence with a conjunction.

A good primary school teacher will tell you that, while grammatically incorrect, ignoring the rule in the right circumstances is better to read and therefore better writing.
