May was a poor poor choice to go into brexit negotiations for us. For all his incompetence, I beleive that boris would stare down the barrel of a gun and pull the trigger which is what you dont want to negotiate against. I feel like May was trying to please too many people.

Had Boris been in first, and May in now, I think both Brexit and this Pandemic would've been infinitely less painful.

It would have all been better with Keir Starmer in. Knows how to negotiate, not as beholden to interest groups as Johnson.

I'm not really one for drama but the period 2008 to the end of this pandemic will be looked at in the same sort of light as the stagflation crisis of the 70s or the Great Depression. It's been an absolute horror show.

We really need to look at the likes of Denmark, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand and ask deep questions about why we are failing on all sorts of indicators (growth, income, inequality, quality of life). Influence of corporate and private interest groups is getting too high, and we're making not making policy that improves the lot of the community.

The UK has left the EU.

The Referendum no longer has any relevance.

If there is to be rioting in the streets it should be over the £350m per week never handed over to the NHS.

So did i. t

But here's the thing Den - it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter how clueless, incompetent or corrupt they are. None of that matters with the general populace.

It's an odd one what politics has become.

Yet in 2018/19 tax year the UK saw 672,890 new startup businesses, thats almost 2000 a day.

Puts the figures above into some sort of perspective.

Swedish MEP Peter Lundgren warned Sweden and other EU member states could soon join Britain outside of the Brussels bloc as he lashed out at European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at the State of the Union address. Speaking in the European Parliament, Mr Lundgren warned Swedish citizens wonder why they must continue to pay huge sums of money to the Brussels bloc whilst receiving no benefits in return.

Said before more and more countries will want to come out after the UK have. Expect more referendums now.

The Swedes have been saying things like this increasingly over the last few years, but only because there's a rise in populist movements there too. The Social Democrats of which Lundgren is a member are akin to UKIP over here in policy terms.

Do you seriously think that anyone with half a brain cell looking at the shit show that Brexit has become is going to think - " Yeah, we could do with a bit of that sort of chaos to brighten up our lives ! "

like I said before  you love the EU and they can't do nothing wrong, so what the point in debating it?

But you will see other countries holding referendums to come out of the EU over the next 20 years

Chaddy, admit it.

You know absolutely nothing about the EU and the politics within the 27 member states.

Your posts about your perception of EU negotiations from the EU side are all figments of imagination and totally untruthful.

Poll is 2 year old.

Look at the polling info before the 2016 referendum results. How wrong was those polls when it came to polling day. Thats the only result that matters is the referendum vote

The only referendum which is coming up is the one in which Scotland votes to leave the UK.

How on earth will that happen without agreement from Westminster?
