Well, looks like you guys predicting Williams would be too strong for Konta were correct! She put up a good fight though.

I disagree. The only time she came from behind the baseline was for the changeovers. Grass is for aggression, which is why over the years the big hitters generally win at Wimbledon.

Really hoping Federer can go on and create history now, but will have to go two big servers to do it. He is obviously more than capable, but if one of those guys have a day where every service match is golden, it's hard to find a way through and you're relying on tie breakers.

Yes, sadly the predictions proved to be correct.

Konta put up a good fight, hopefully she can continue this level of progress and 12 months down the line she could be in a position to win it.

Serena will be back, and normal service will be resumed!

For those of you not watching, bit of an epic men's semi final going on right now.

Isner v. Anderson, 2 sets all, 14 games each in 5th set. It's gonna be dark before Rafa and Djokovich get on

Hell, in the end the commentators were getting well bored, and some of the glory hunting crowd too. . . .

Rafa v Djokovic has been a classic so far. Especially towards the end of the 3rd set. Just a pity about that stupid 11pm license.

Rather like the World Cup the strongest semi-final has essentially become the final - with a near formality awaiting.

Absolute joke of a decision to keep the roof on whilst it is sunny outside. Wimbledon has gone against their own rule which is that as an outdoor event, it should be roof OFF, unless for a good reason.

Andy Murray announcing he will likely retire this year due to a hip injury. The surgery earlier this year hasnt cured the problem to the extent it effects his mobility in normal life.

He got some stick but I always liked Andy Murray. Gave everything for the cause.

Goes to show while the money is something us normal folk can only dream of, being a professional athlete takes a massive tole on the body.

Fantastic tennis player, World #1 when in direct competition against 3 of tennis’s all time best players (Federer, Djokovic, Nadal), Olympic Gold, a grand slam or two, and most importantly...

A good guy of the sport, standing up for the women’s game against sexism. The two best examples are having a female coach (and repeatedly having to defender her from slurs by other men in the sport; and the correction of a journalist with the phrase ‘Male player’ when they’d seemingly forgotten that women exist.

I grew to really like him as he got past his morose teenager stage. Not sure about his mum though. She always seems to be that kind of pushy parent that will have a tennis champion as a child no matter what. There's probably a Stuart Murray locked in the attic for over 20 years because he was born with hands like Alex Brooker and hated sport.

Tennis isn't a big draw on this site but did anyone watch Federer v. Nadal in today's Wimbledon semi final?

Federer won in 4 sets and put on a masterclass.

He will be missed when he hangs his racquet up.

I can't see him beat Djokovic on Sunday.
