8 points clear already. A decent team can't lose it from there even at this early stage.

Just got to hope beyond hope that Liverpool will bottle it again. However, the officials are certainly doing their bit to make that a slim possibility - even with Liverpool’s recent history.

Wont be able to move for red arrivistes soon. “Aye, I’ve always been a red - always go down to watch Kenny and the lads me, aye” 🙄

18 shots to 2 suggests Liverpool dominated and deserved the win anyway. If even a supposedly half-decent team like Leicester play like a League 2 team against Liverpool then I'm not sure who stops them. Maybe Man City in one of their fixtures, otherwise it'll be the same as last season steamrolling through the pathetic remnants of the rest of the so called best league in the world.

Another team who fired Big Sam and are now living to regret it.

Hard to see past them really. Admittedly City overhauled them last year but City looking frail and Liverpool relentless. Only positive for City is that they have 2 games Vs Liverpool to pull some points back.

Liverpool have 3 captains in Henderson, Milner and Van Dyke. City had Kompany and he's gone.

I don't think this "leader" role can be underestimated once the players are out there and things are not going to plan.

Rovers have entrusted Bennett with this role because he is a nice human.

Hoping this is Milner's last season in the PL and we can bring him here in the summer for a couple of seasons. Unlikely I know.

Newcastle 1-0 Man Utd

Lol. United are genuinely a mid table club now. The team they lined up with today was really poor.

...has been here the longest. Coyle did the same with Lowe. Old school trying to use loyalty and commitment as the most important attributes.

Rovers have no leaders, on the pitch, dugout, or boardroom.

Watched Man U game yesterday, how crap are they.  Fred a 60million Evans, did he ever pass forward?

I read somewhere that captain material is part of their recruitment criteria. As well as the 3 mentioned Salah, Mane, and Robertson are captains of their national team. It certainly helps.

Milner still has too much to offer to drop down to the Championship. He would be a dream signing, but I think that he'll sign a another deal at Liverpool. He may play less as Ox and Keita should be fully fit.

Liverpool do look formidable. They don't have last season's mean defence but are resilient. They will get better, as will City. They'll spend on a central defender in January.

Man U were woeful. It's going to be a long season for them. They play Liverpool at Old Trafford next. It's usually a game that never lives up to the hype. They don't have the quality to compete against Liverpool so I expect a defensive performance.
