You're not in a position to be moralising about anything lad, heard you're at a festival, in family camping (we both know you've no children) and were in bed for 11 last night! :P

P.S- what on earth are you doing on here while you're at a festival? To the bar indeed, hope I don't see you post on here until Monday earliest!!

I could be on a ship at the North Pole mate and I'd still want to know what score was, and what better way to find out than a website that takes so little battery and 4g!

You may also wish to look up what the term moralising means....If you could grasp such sentiments, you'd be singing my praises for going to a festival on the straight edge for a change :);)

Battery out...!

Big, big win today with two solid banks of four which really limited Bradford to a few half chances and shots from distance. The players looked far more comfortable in this system and after 20 minutes I said to my brother that we made more tackles in that time than in the previous two league games. I really hope Mowbray has dispensed with his fancy systems and if he has credit to him for not persisting with it when it clearly wasn't right for us. After the result the most pleasing aspect for me was the work rate and all the players were good in this respect. Although Williams looks lost in the final third defensively he was solid today as were Caddis, Mulgrew and Ward. Evans and Smallwood were a decent defensive combination but I think they should only play together in away games. Bennett and Conway offered a lot offensively and defensively. Samuel ran in behind when he could and wanted to work the channels with Dack finding pockets of space in decent areas.

I don't know if anybody else's thought that Mowbray was sat down in the technical area more than any other game in his tenure. Normally he spends most of the game on the edge of the technical area but today Venus was more evident with his role.

Anyone seen this one Fb? Apparently showing Rovers fans under police escort in Bradford.

If this is true, it's utterly ridiculous and, in my view, sets a dangerous tone; demonising fans. Treat people like hooligans and you will get hooligans. You do have to wonder what their agenda is. My guess would be to try to make a point about being under resourced. Not sure wasting resources is the best way to do so.

We saw this same group under escort before and after the game. It seemed totally disproportionate to what amounted to a few young Rovers fans who seemed boisterous at best. The number of police on duty today was quite surprising. We parked in the town centre and lots of police vehicles were seen before and after the game.

First game of the season for me today.  Wasn't sure what to expect but saw a very committed performance.  Apart from the last 15 mins, I thought we were comfortable.  We created a few oportunities first half (nearest on the stroke of half time) and Dack was lively.  Second half we got the goal which I felt we deserved.  After that we knocked it about reasonably well  although our final ball is still missing.  I thought the back 4 did well today and nullified Bradford with Evans and Smallwood doing an excellent job.

I must say tht if Bradford are one of the better teams, then we have nothing to fear in this league...IF the players show the same committment as they did today.

Raya: Not too much to do but handled the ball well.  A few poor kicks though.

Caddis: they seemed to target him defensively.  Thought he coped well today but didn't venture forward much.

Ward:  Looked solid today- won a lot of headers.

Mulgrew:  composed and read the game well.

Williams:  stuck to his job at the back and made some good runs forward.

Conway:  did well.  Tried to make things happen.

Bennett:  Put in a shift and tracked back well but doesn't really seem to create anything.

Evans:  Combative and tidy on the ball

Smallwood:  As above.

Dack:  Thought he looked lively.  Got stuck in and tried to carry the ball and be positive.  Got some rough treatment.  Hope injury not too bad.

Samuel: Showed some nice touches.  Competed well up front.  Much more mobile than Graham.  Scored!

Subs:

Gladwin:  couple of neat touches and tried to run the clock down.  Gifted Bradford a chance with a careless pass late on.

Whittingham:  Knocked the ball around tidily but not much impact

Antonsson:  reasonable movement but slow and a bit light weight.  Not one for playing up front on his own.

We still need that pacey forward IMO.  Especially to push teams deep late on.

TM:  Got the committment from players today and the subs made sense (although surprised not to see Graham).

Fans made a lot of noise. Enjoyable day out!

Would anybody care at this point if we let Graham go to anybody who will take him? I'm not convinced he has the mentality to be successful in this division. He must be on a serious wedge, too. Can't help but think his significant wage could be much better apportioned to other parts of the squad.

From where have you heard that? He did his job today, no complaints, and what I did notice today is that he is quite good on the ball

Radio Lancs had me despairing over Ward. I decided he needs to be dropped and removed from the 1st team squad; possibly replaced by Wharton.

I'm glad to hear he had a good solid game. From what I have seen of him (Ewood only) he is crap. I wonder why Kevin Gallagher and the main commentator were reporting his many faults.

Never rated the guy from day one, poor mans Rhodes. Pace and power is what you need at this level. Better to score 4/9 chances than 1/3

What a cracking day out. Some good bars in Bradford and it was great to see a full stadium, I guess we'll see that most away games as the home fans will see it as one of their bigger days this season. Bring it on.

To echo the above, absolutely loads of police which seemed ott.

Dack looked decent until the injury, and Smallwood looks like the player we've missed since Savage. He came over after the final whistle, had friends and family in the stand, you could see just how much it meant to him.

Swedish fella looked terribly lightweight, needs to put a stone on and find some elbows.

Charlie is head and shoulders above anyone in this league, I'd say the only player in the squad that we actually cannot afford to lose.

Raya needs to work on his kicking too.

came home with a smile on my face. Can't remember the last game where that happened.

Radio lancs are as reliable as radio rovers, not very. Gallagher talks poop every time hes on. Mark Atkins and Chris Sutton the best two co presenters over last few seasons.

Graham can be a force to be reckoned with when he's motivated. Unfortunately his motivation seemed to disappear along with Lambert in May 2016. I don't get the feeling he's up for the fight in this division, and if so then that is a big problem.
