The scoreline will now gloss over another predictable and unmotivated start against a team our players expect a cake walk against. Not good enough. Papering over cracks imo

Three goals in one half is admittedly pretty good even if they are a league below. Can't ask much more than that though as you say hardly makes the 1st half less awful or brightens up the overall picture.

Dack,Smallwood(why would you leave him out above??) ,Chapman,Nuttall(who you also left out above) ,Downing(left out above also??) Are all good signings. Samuel and Whittingham are both decent also.

Whether Mowbray starts them or plays them in their best  positions is a separate issue to the recruitment.

A better manager would get more from this squad

A load of decent names isn't good recruitment when there is no plan behind the signings. He failed to address the lack of pace in our side which is a major reason we can't break teams down.If the recruitment had been planned out and good would we not have a settled side and system now?How Many midfielders did we need.

Smallwood excellent signing for this level I just forgot to mention him in my previous post.Did Mowbray bring Nuttall in or was it a development squad signing?Downing has done well but it was still a panick last minute signing when we couldn't get our other targets.

Mowbray is a terrible MOWtivator . That is becoming apparent

Listened to the 2nd half on this stream and have got to say it was a brilliant commentary, concentrating on the action without waffle of any kind. Well done!

I listened to the whole game and now the classified results! Excellent. Thanks Adam and Radio Lonsdale.

Well done the 2nd half Rovers inspired by Joe NOT Mowbray. His first half team and formation was SHITE.

In summary:

Mowbray got it wrong again with his negative team selection of 5 defenders and 1 striker AT HOME to LEAGUE 2 Barnet.

Team losing 1-0 at H/T. Team get booed off.

Mowbray puts on 2nd striker. Rovers win 3-1.

Conclusion: Mowbray is a negative numpty who only tries to attack the opposition when we are losing.

It really hits home how little they actually say about the game when you watch the pictures on iFollow with the 'non synced' radio commentary

Same old fossilised approach would have seen us slapped today by a decent team first half probably and yet again it takes going a goal behind to spark any urgency. He gambled and gave mins to people and this was a game and opposition to allow that so I don't blame him there but that rank formation that does not work was there again.... why ?

Gamble paid off but he had to change tack yet again, wise up Tony we should never see that formation again.

Hilarious thread......humble pie anyone?

Well done Blues.

Delighted we won.But humble pie not sure what you mean with that?Mowbray got it wrong again today.Only when he made the changes did we get back into the game.Maybe if he had started Nuttall and didn't start 3 at the back we would have had the match won at half time?He was criticised pre match for his team selection and system, the pre match doubters were proven right, losing at ht....he changes the team and system we run out comfy winners

I think Tony's enjoying a big slice after once again getting his starting line-up wrong...like nearly everyone on here said when it was released.

If you're quick he may have some left;)

That can be the only reason for his selections, he just won't give in unless he really has to. Stubborn manager syndrome.

Nutall two games two goals, no starts. Anyone reckon he will be first choice the next game?

Survey says...
